I have cover on a zephyr that runs out on june 30th. they want an astronomical ammount to add my ttr. I have a quote with no ncb for £83. can I run 2 policies for 2 bikes at the same time? I'm only using my ncb once.

confuse

Why not get a "multi-bike policy"? confuse

I own four bikes, all comprehensively insured on one policy, including my TTR.

This is an example of one provider CLICKY LINKY - not the one I'm insured with.

A quote costs you nothing. wink

Yep! I also started a fresh policy for my ttr, I also have a cb1300. Mine cost me £130 with no ncb though!

My thinking was that I would prefer to build up no claims seperately for the ttr because in the long run I think it would make it cheaper. And plus theres more choice of companys to go with when you only want one vehicle insured. Whether this is right I'm yet to find out...

NCB is associated to policy, not vehicle. Therefore if you have an NCB you can transfer that to one new policy. If you inside the bikes on different policies you can only use the NCB on one of them. If you get a multi bike policy you can apply the NCB to the policy and get the benefit on the entire premium.

Worth also noting that you can't have 2 policies on a single bike, if you want to get a multi policy for the 2 bikes now, you have to cancel the old policy so that you're not doubling up on policies for the zephyr.

compare the market.com with 3 years ncb £80.62. £100 vol and £400 compulsory excess.
£ 82.89 with 0 years ncb £100 vol and £150 compulsory excess.??
it will cost me £50 to cancel zephyr insurance ( i have just sold the zephyr) so will let it run.
can't believe 3 years ncb only saves me £2.37 and adds 250 comp. excess
