Hi again, can anyone tell me what the red and black wire coming out of the speedo assembly is supposed to attach to? Mine has been cut, also it doesnt have a clutch switch. Could this be it?

Cheers,

Benny

UK model has blue and black wires also.

Is yours the same type of speedo as pictured below?

Thanks for the replies. My 2002 has a black, a brown, a red/black and a blue. Sorry about the photo quality. These go directly into the speedo not the neutral/indicator box. Thanks.

Hi there.

Even though the images are fuzzy they don't look like Yamaha wiring confuse

Could you take pics from further away so that the wires are in focus and include one of the wires going into the back of the speedo please?

Is your the same speedo as in my earlier pics?

Brian

Hi Brian sorry for the delay in replying.

Im starting to think this speedo isn't standard, as it has a oil pressure light????? i cant get hold of another one in my area to have a look but you or someone may be able to help.

I hope the pics are of better quality.

Cheers,

Benny

Defo not a TTR250 speedo!

The wire that we can't place must be the one to the oil warning bulb, one will be earth and the other is to feed the bulb that illuminates the speedo.
