Yes i'm happy with the standard exhaust but this came up on ebay so thought i'd give it a try . If i dont like it i'll just sell it on here for what i paid. It's a White Brothers E series and a bit of a strange affair. It can be tuned by adding or removing the discs behind the end cap. More discs = more noise and l...
Thought about it a few times as to the direction of oil flow in the TTR. After the oil pump what route does the oil get pumped around the engine ? I believe there's a strainer that the oil would flow to before it reaches the filter ?
Hello all just returned from a trip across the Strata Florida (Wales) and Elan Valley! What an amazing place!! Fully recommend it to anyone! Hi all - after many years away I'm looking to get back into green laning. I've looked around, and a TTR seems like a good choice. This forum looks really great also. Looking forward to finding the right machine and getting going ! Cheers Dave
Hi all, My TTR was fine and tracking straight hands off, untill I had a front puncture. I did not drive on a flat tyre but walked it home some 300 meters. Took of the wheel had it changed with a new inner tube and I installed the wheel. Spacers correct disk brake lined up correctly, but now it wants to turn by...
Guys, I am new to the group having just bought a 93/94 ttr 250. It started fine when I bought it and I went to go out on it a couple of days later. Brill started first push of the button. Well I stalled it and went to restart and all I got was the click from the solenoid. I have just replaced the solenoid with a bra...
Hello guys, it's me again. I just did a 1900 km round trip to Da Nang, a city 800 km from my home. Just want to share with you some of the experiences I had with the TTR. Normally, if you take the highway, it will take only 800 km. I took the longer route, with crappy road and trails but more scenic views. The rou...
Hello guys, So the last time I changed the oil, the drain plug inner thread (engine side) was stripped. I had no other choice but to drill the hole and re-thread it. Since I had to do it manually, the thread was far from perfect, but the new oversized drain plug goes in fine. However, the oil still leaks out...
On Friday I finished work and got home and fitted my sat nav to my bike and then decided to go for a little pootle down towards Looe to test it out. It worked fine bar a few little issues that were solved using Cable Ties (the unit moved on the handle bars so I tied in back to the headlamp fairing, and the cigare...

I gotta say, my ex-brother in law who grew up in Manchester dumped a bunch of recent TBM magazines on me the other day during a ride, and I really like the magazine. I subscribe to Dirt Rider over here, and TBM is more interesting. Better stories, less testing more riding. I'm torn as to whether UK riding (...

Had fun today out on the lanes on the trusty TTR, this weekend I have noticed that the sun has really kicked in and our usual lanes have much foliage growth on either side and hanging from above now! I had a moment with a rut on the Cosmore drove, I was thrown out the higher central part of the lane by some larg...

Hello, I'm just learning how to take apart my carb on my TTR, as I cleaned the jets after it sat all winter. When I put it all back together and turned on the pet**** to fill the bowl, it started leaking out of the overflow. I figured the float was stuck so I tapped on it and it stopped leaking. Then when I st...
