The front wheel was out to repair a puncture and I noticed that the inner brake pad was badly worn but the outer brake pad had plenty of meat on it. What causes the uneven wear?
This is a picture of my bike which has just had a good seeing to and a carb overhaul - it's now ready to have new tank decals and a trip to the garage for an mot. It is a late 2003 model with 10000 miles on the clock. As far as I know it has never been off-road but now has new tyres , frame protectors, bash plate and h...
I have a few spare wheels that have flat spots on the rims that won't pass our UK MOT test which allows only up to 2mm run out on aluminium rims. I managed to get hold of some good rims so had a go at rebuilding the wheels yesterday. I managed to rebuild two rear wheels and it was time consuming but the end resul...

It was that dreaded time of the year again. My TTR needs taxing again at the end of May. Its MoT expires on 13th May so I had to do something. I booked the bike in for a test and spent most of the day before yesterday fettling it and making it presentable - I had to remove the A2E mud and sludge if nothing else. Th...
Insurance renewal time has come once again and it's pretty expensive so I've been trying to get some more quotes but struggling to find companies that list a TTR and the rest wont quote for an imported bike. Who do you insure with?
Hi. Does anyone know if there is an alloy replacement for the standard plastic guard on the rear brake calliper on the TTR? I've broken my second already. Cheers, ben
Not many pics as i was only out about 90 minutes.. I went to have a look at my favorite ford. It looked deep from the one side so i rode the long way round to see it from the other and went for it. I sailed through it no problem and stopped at the other side, it was deep. As i was taking the above pic an old boy with a...

The TTR was more then capable of running with the big boys. I'm the heaviest and carry a good 20lbs extra of pack. The pic has Honda XR 250 KTM 350 (brand new) DR400 and of course, the king of off road needs no introduction. -- Edited by mypobox on Friday 8th of May 2015 06:28:27 PM
This shot of my TTR was taken on a sunny day outside our Met. Station. Some cyclists from Norway were on a visit to see us and take a look around. Yuraku

I have a covered side alley where I store most of my used parts. Over the last few weeks, whenever I have been in there rootling around, I have been hassled by an annoyed robin. I guessed something was going on and found traces of nesting material here and there but never found a nest or heard baby birds chi...
