This is a picture of my bike which has just had a good seeing to and a carb overhaul - it's now ready to have new tank decals and a trip to the garage for an mot.
It is a late 2003 model with 10000 miles on the clock. As far as I know it has never been off-road but now has new tyres , frame protectors, bash plate and handlebars. In the carb, all the jets have been renewed plus diaphram and gaskets, as it has been standing for a couple of years and showed signs of some heavy-handedness ie throttle stop screw and side cover screw missing plus chewed drain plug screw.
When I took the carb off the rubber manifold came off with it - so I guess that accounted for some of the rough running. It starts and runs sweetly now but I've not had a chance to road test it yet! I have touched up the frame under the seat and fitted stainless screws and nuts and bolts and the silencer has been de-rusted and re-sprayed, so it's all ready to go.
