I have a covered side alley where I store most of my used parts. Over the last few weeks, whenever I have been in there rootling around, I have been hassled by an annoyed robin. I guessed something was going on and found traces of nesting material here and there but never found a nest or heard baby birds chirping.

Anyways up, I was met with a flurry (well, two actually) of fledgling robins in the alley yesterday. How good was that? 

Their sense of direction and flight control wasn't good so I was glad when they made their escape!

Later on in the day, Trish found the nest under a TTR mudguard and between the parts of an old shock.

You can see how I missed it as it was so very well hidden.

Perhaps the robins though it was spring time.   wink

But I see the shock had no spring - so p'raps not. disbelief

Charge them a weekly rent, Brian.  biggrin

And - you could sell the shock cheap without a spring. biggrinbiggrin

They are at it again! I lifted the mudguard to show our visitors the robins' nest and the next clutch of eggs is being laid!
