Hi all - I recently joined this great forum and am looking for a TTR to buy. Needs to be a blue one and located in the SE (I'm in Surrey). Anything considered. Thanks, Dave
Hi all - I've recently bought a TTR. Went to change the oil and was unhappy to see the level was v low (prob about 500ml) and old and black. Nothing bad on the sump plug or in the filter (filter had some silver deposits - like you see on a bike's first service). Bike seems to run ok-ish but wondered if there's a...
So I got a new spring for my foot peg but it was still loose. I noticed the pin that goes through the footpeg was flapping about inside the holes on the lug which the peg attaches to. So I looked at it and thought what could I do to fix it? So this is what I did... Found a perfect size bolt that fitted in the hole....
Subject line lays it out there. I'm based in East Vancouver, have a cabin on Anderson Lake, and a trailer. My TTR is dual-sported RUM bike, street legal. I'd rather not ride the Sea to Sky or the freeway out of town. Interested in trips from my cabin, Harrison Lake, Eastern Fraser Valley, South Chilcoti...
I wanted to know if people prefer the standard silencer? Does it really restrict the bike? i am asking because for greenlaning I much prefer being as quite as possible. I have an FMF Q which I find if pretty fruity... the standard silencer appears to be the quietest pipe for the TTR Does it work ok?
Hi to all, a question about throttle/carburettor, when i let the throttle go when riding to seems to stick and does not close fully unless that you really twist it closed and it feels notchy when it is almost closed, is it the cables or the carburettor which is at fault? It's a right pain when riding it...
Does anyone know of a good carburettor reconditioning company in the uk, has anyone used a specific company to carry out any work? I am thinking of getting mine reconditioned if it's possible. Cheers John

New job, no time, so unfortunately my 2005 TTR 250 has to go. MOT to March 2016, well maintained but showing the usual bumps and scrapes for a 10 year old bike. Recent rear tyre and chain and sprockets. Front tyre is OK for now but will need replacing in the not too distant future. if I were keeping it I wo...
Hi everyone. I bought a 2002 model last year in complete pieces (engine the lot) and am just about to fire it up. All I need is to set the valves and the shims were missing. I had the head reconditioned but I would like to know what valve shim specs everyone is running so I can set the valve clearances as a star...

Question.... Is it normal for the clutch to be affected by overheating the bike on trails like this? A few times now, in tough conditions, I have felt the clutch springs lose some tension. Before I changed out the clutch parts, I had an incident where in snow and mud, the clutch gave out completely and f...

He pushes that little CRF150 along..... see him coming to a sticky end one day... won't listen... he will just have to find out for himself... 13 year olds know it all....
