G'day all. I'm Nam from Melbourne Down Under. I have an '02 that I picked up cheaply from a friend a few years ago. I like modifying bikes, so I converted it to a motard using cast alloy VTR250 rims. I am a stunt rider with Front Up Freestyle (www.frontupfreestyle.com) so I just wanted a little hack bike to...
550 cord-lock paracord. Don't leave home without it. I should have stayed home today. Landed a nice air and sheared off a right side foot peg bolt. Lashed it and then headed out. I avoided standing. Then lowsided in 3rd gear in the sand and broke my starter switch AGAIN! I just replaced it. Thank goodne...
DAY 1 So, I got my hands on a CRM 250. What do I do with the old Yam? Blow money on it of course! So, the top shock bushes are worn out, and the shock no long does any absorbing, all the oil and gas has seeped out and gone. The engine is burning oil as well as leaking oil from every gasket. Considering the sump hol...
So, I have already caused much head scratching with Brian and mate Steve (also has TTR) as I try to fix a very low ride height issue on my TTR (which I believe is a US spec machine) At first I thought I had a lowering link fitted but this is not the case - 2 photos show the difference between my TTR and a "n...

Yes i'm happy with the standard exhaust but this came up on ebay so thought i'd give it a try . If i dont like it i'll just sell it on here for what i paid. It's a White Brothers E series and a bit of a strange affair. It can be tuned by adding or removing the discs behind the end cap. More discs = more noise and l...
Thought about it a few times as to the direction of oil flow in the TTR. After the oil pump what route does the oil get pumped around the engine ? I believe there's a strainer that the oil would flow to before it reaches the filter ?

Hi all - after many years away I'm looking to get back into green laning. I've looked around, and a TTR seems like a good choice. This forum looks really great also. Looking forward to finding the right machine and getting going ! Cheers Dave
Hi all, My TTR was fine and tracking straight hands off, untill I had a front puncture. I did not drive on a flat tyre but walked it home some 300 meters. Took of the wheel had it changed with a new inner tube and I installed the wheel. Spacers correct disk brake lined up correctly, but now it wants to turn by...
Guys, I am new to the group having just bought a 93/94 ttr 250. It started fine when I bought it and I went to go out on it a couple of days later. Brill started first push of the button. Well I stalled it and went to restart and all I got was the click from the solenoid. I have just replaced the solenoid with a bra...
Hello guys, it's me again. I just did a 1900 km round trip to Da Nang, a city 800 km from my home. Just want to share with you some of the experiences I had with the TTR. Normally, if you take the highway, it will take only 800 km. I took the longer route, with crappy road and trails but more scenic views. The rou...
Hello guys, So the last time I changed the oil, the drain plug inner thread (engine side) was stripped. I had no other choice but to drill the hole and re-thread it. Since I had to do it manually, the thread was far from perfect, but the new oversized drain plug goes in fine. However, the oil still leaks out...
