Trying out a new back tyre for a run to Spain plus 5 days of rocky trails. My normal tyre for this has been a Heidenau K60, 130/80 x 18 but it's getting a bit worn out. My lovely knobbly Maxxis IT would be toast after the 1000 miles of 65mph tar plus maybe 400 of track so I'm experimenting with a Michelin Anakee...

Done a bit more fettling today, put the tank decals on no problem, left hand side panel all ok, bloody exhaust side more creases than a pair of trousers i’ve slept in after a good night out. Hi, mates; I got my "new" bike, TTR 250 blue / 2003 a few weeks ago. I couldn´t test her as my arm was injuried, but seemed to work nicely (1000 m high area). On the while, I´ve read about how to uncorck her (thanks to all the mates dropping so valueable info !!) When I´ve been able to hold an screwdriver, I st...

Hi all; A few years has passed since I sold my loved EXC 300 and now back to mud. Quietly, so I got my 03 TTR. Very happy, but my physical condition now is lower. So I wanted to reduce weight on the blue one. I´ve took off a few small parts. Now I´ve replaced silencer. 4,2 Kgr from the original replaced by 2,6...

There has been a lot of talk about the benefits of the shorty header pipe on the TTR , but all the evidence anecdotal from magazines and rider impressions. General consensus is a 2 hp gain with the shorty. That's decent, about 10 % on a TTR. Recently Kiwi Jeff offered his opinion on his shorty header af...

Hey guys! What I dont really like about the TTR is that it has manual fuel tap without any fuel gauge, not even a low fuel sensor.
