Hi there Ladies and Gents!

I amn’t a big poster on here (I just tend to stalk around in the background!) but wondered if anyone could offer a bit of advice.

I want to update my TTR’s lighting to LED, but I hear all sorts of tales about how you can’t just switch incandescent bulbs out for LED’s. What is your experience of upgrading your TTR’s headlight / adding aux lighting? Do you need to add resistors? Will it cause problems with generator?

Any help greatly received!

Andy

With led head lights it's just a plug in getting a well focused  bulb or light is the challenge most arnt approved for on road use

The ttr has a regulator/rectifier which runs as a total loss system so no worries and saved output is shunted off via the regulator

There are also good stop /tail options  if changing the indicators there's a choice of fitting resistors or changing the flasher can to a led compatible one

Changing the dash lights to leds has good results as well

Headlamp and tail are just straight switch .

Way better and no bulb blowing on the darkest misty night .

Some are better than others quality wise so its hard to know what you are buying .

Also saves power so dosnt run battery down .

Try fitting a light bar on front also on mudguard .

There are plenty of posts in lighting section if you look .
