Carb boring the Teikei

Has anyone bored out the Teikei on the TTR250?

If So, what are your thoughts.

I am nearing completion of my 325 build and was considering boring the Teikei so the bottom of the throat is the same as the top

Hi Matt

A really good question but I have a feeling that you may be the first to do it on this forum!

There was a guy called Phil Manning (I think) up in the Midlands used to offer this service to TTR owners but, by the time I became interested, I couldn't trace him. But I know it can be done with, apparently, good results biggrin

I hope you get some answers.

Brian

I think it would allow it to have better top end breathing. Especially with my header/pipe/325cc combo.
I think i will have a crack at it. Lol

Excellent. Please take photos and keep us update on progress!

How you going to measure the improvement - dyno or seat of the pants?

I'll be very interested to hear the results - not seen a TTR carb done yet. Don't think Geoff Ballard did it - anyone know?

Should make a difference for sure. Add a bit of gentle head porting while you're in the mood?

Take care not to damage that pumper jet nozzle!!
