The labour involved in making racks then getting them powder coated makes that a reasonable price I think. Been there, bought the pipe bender...!

My tray cost me a couple of hours drawing and not much at the sheet aluminium cutter's place. Maybe I got a discount because he forgot to have it done the first time.

I can cut whatever holes, slots etc I find I need.

The drawing is done. It fits. It does need reshaping behind the seat, as it makes putting the seat on, with the Acerbis tank fitted, a bit harder.

Easy to add a wider tray on top.

I could reshape the trailing edge to improve access to the tail light screws.

I'm continuing to work on it. Next step seems to be using it to run some tube over the top to join / stabilize the pannier bag supports and spread the load down into the sub-frame.
