White TTR250 won’t start,

My 1995 model was running great when I did a 200 km ride 3 weeks ago, now it won’t start. I checked spark and compression to find only 65psi. Have checked carby and valve seating plus piston and rings but found nothing apparently wrong. Now out of ideas. ian, Australia

Air Filter Cage

Evening, Has anyone used a different cage/support for their air filter. I have a 93 OE Not keen on spending the £50 for an original Yamaha one. I have seen some plastic cages on the internet but I'm not sure of these are for a Blue TTR? Anyone out there with a Open Enduro using a different cage?

Shortening the sidestand?

Having fitted the 50mm lowering link I’ve come to the conclusion the stand now needs shortening, anyone who’s done this how much did you shorten it by, I’m thinking that as the bike had a tendency to lean quite a lot as standard maybe removing 25mm would suffice rather that 50mm, if I put some 25mm pieces...

A mot question, was wondering if anyone had come across. Fork seals are generally covered by rubber gaitors and hidden, to inspect them the tester would have to release the clip to do this. Never had an issue but never known a tester to do this, looks like the seals are overlooked
