Got back my stolen TTR. With some modifications...

Hey folks,

I picked up this 07 TTR with Motard wheels on it a year and a half ago.

Cut to 6 months later and the bike is stolen from my apartment building. C'est la vie. It's gone, I thought. A call from the cops a few weeks ago however had my TTR back in my apartment garage again (locked this time!).

Problem is the thief ripped off the rear supermoto wheel and stuck on a random old wheel with a dirt bike tyre.

I'm thinking of getting some new wheels made up to go for the more scrambler-y look like they've done here:

I'll mainly be nipping about the city with a little off road here and there.

Anyway! I'll need to send these hubs off to get new rims and spokes but I have no idea whether or not these hubs are good to go. Not sure if the front supermoto hub is the original TTR hub that's just been painted blue and I know the back hub almost certainly isn't made for the TTR.

My question is, what would I be looking for when inspecting these hubs to make sure they're a good fit for the bike or if they're in good enough condition to go ahead and send off to have new rims and spokes stuck on to them?

From what I've read on this forum it is possible to adapt other Yamaha hubs to TTRs with the use of spacers and the correct... bearings?

I've noticed it's pretty hard to get TTR hubs now so if I can avoid having to source them that'd be great.

I'm a newbie to actually working on the bike I'm riding so forgive my ignorance!

Any help much appreciated

Cheers
