Rode up-to gingers creek and back today lots of dust a wide range of tracks good to get the ttr out a bit further since its rebuild. The first 125ks it took 4litres to fill back up supprised me abit . Checked out the old gold mining sites along the way and rode the Doyle's river forest for the first time a grea...
Unlikely I know but anyone got a scrap blue frame and willing to cut off the front and rear tank mounts for me to weld on my purple frame that I am using for my 350 build? If so, please PM me and we can work something out Brian PS These are the bits I need:
Hello, always thought a ttr250 would be a good addition to bike family. Picked one up for my son and we’ve been having a great time going thru it Until today we found 2 broken cam caps (left side small ones) so I joined and posted a wanted ad. ive been around MCs most of my life and enjoy working on, riding...
Well, it's been a while everybody! I just wanted to let all you fellow TTR enthusiasts that all has been well except for a split intake stub. I discovered this one day when I went to adjust the needle in the carb, and the stub separated in two when I tried taking the carb out. No worries, I simply ordered a ne...
Hello.I have an upcoming 3 days ride in the mountains in june.I had some oxford saddlebags from when i was touring with my tl1000r.I decided to build some racks to be able to mount them on the ttr.I used 5mm ss rod.I could believe how strong it is.I will be incorporating a place behind the right rack to mou...
Having read Punkawalla's thread, I decided to do the conversion. We live about 1/2 mile down a bridle path which is pretty rough, and I am a retained firefighter, so sometimes I have to travel down the lane a little more rapidly than is healthy for normal 4 wheeled vehicles. So thought a trail bike would...
I have a 99 TTR250. I noticed a semi-wet spot, nothing major, on my engine black and began to investigate. I noticed this weird part sticking out of the engine and I assumed it was something stock, but after further research and reading through the service manual, there is no mention of this. What could...
hello, bonjours, I'm looking for this cache. --------------------- I changed the engine.I found a 1996 engine.my old engine is from 1999. I do not have the same cache output transmission.---------------------
Hi folks, My wifes miserable flea-bag ate the seat on my TTR today. Paddy Dakar is fast approaching and now I have no seat for the bike. The TTR Shop has the seat covers and they are available on EBay but does anyone have a seat sponge for a 250 Enduro 1993 ? Please include price of shipping to Ireland. Than...
Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone's ever experienced a similar issue, and could offer advice? I've got some oil blowing/leaking out the front of the engine block from the header-pipe intake. Please see pic attached (you can see the dark oil patches on the fins of engine). I initially thought i...
I have a favour to ask of anyone in Australia: I have just bought a Husqvarna TE610e. 2000 era model. Electric start, proper oil filter, balancer shaft motor. Absolute animal (but nothing like as good as my TTR in the tight stuff). Anyway, it has a measly european spec 9 litre tank but our fortunate cous...
Just bought this Husky TE610E. Why? 'Cause I've never had one before! Hell it's quick, but it's no match for the TTR in the woods. No steering lock and a bit heavy, but it's a bit of a hooligan given some space. I'd like a bigger tank for it (see the wanted section) Thought I might use it for longer tours than...

Just wondering after looking at various members bikes, that there seems to be a variance in frame colours(Talking the blue versions). Some are blue, some black and I think I've seen silver. Are these standard or owner mods? Or did they come out different out of the factory for different years or exp...
Hi all I'm hoping to get some insight from this group. My TTR started ticking right after an oil change. Idk if the oil is maybe too thin or maybe it's just a coincidence. Some notes: climate here is temperate (8-30C). Current oil is Liqui Moly 4T Synth 10W60 off-road racing. Overkill, I know. Sounds li...

Hey! My 12yo son asks me to buy a car for him but he's too small :) So I thought to buy an ATV. I always wanted a car when I was a boy now I want to make my son's dreams come true. But I'm a newbie in this don't know how to choose the best one. My son asks one with sports car design :) But what should I take into account...
Hi All just joined the forum ! I’ve a blue 2004 TTR which I manage to get out on pretty regularly over in Shropshire and Mid Wales. I’ve been delighted with the bike since buying it in April, and have already managed well over 2500 off road miles since then with just regular maintenance ! im just about to po...
The Colorado and Montana TAT posts inspired me to re-run the Oregon TAT sections (my recommended that is). I've only found time to do the western half because of work and all, and I have to pray to the dirt gods to let me pass unseen over pavement, so my progress is slow. If you crossed the Cascades this we...
Went for a winter burn out to some tracks in Neerim South Vic the other day with a mate on his TTR600. Not too wet, but a few puddles lying around, but the soil is more Sandy and not as much clay as our usual haunt at Bunyip. A couple of tracks closed for winter, but many still open and very rideable. Many of th...

It is good to see a community with so much help and information available. I also have a V-Strom 650 which is not so good on th...
