I have splashed out and bought a £25 Chinese Speedo off ebay. It came with no instructions but I have now wired it to show high beam, indicator left and right and neutral. Has anyone else used one and if so where did you mount the sensor and magnet and how did you calibrate the speed. I have made notes of the w...
My bike, after sitting for almost a year, would not get full power under full throttle First gear wasnt as noticable, but anything beyond that it seemed like it was choking on itself. Almost like a lope on a muscle car. I pulled the carb out, and I have a question about the accelerator pump thingy. Th...
i have a front & rear hubs for sale if any one interested. They will be good to build supermoto wheels to go straight into a TTR250 using the original spacers. I was going to do the same but changed my mind hence why they are for sale. John, Yorkshire area £120 for both
Anyone mounted a set of these on their TTR? https://www.rg-racing.com/browsetype/ClicknRide/ They look like a great idea, didn’t think they were too pricey either considering what I expected them to be.
Hi all, just bought a Raid to replace my Suzuki DR Big. It will become my commuter bike which I use daily to commute to the office and to rush around to various sotes I work on around london. Due to the new ULEZ (ultra low emissions zone) in central london which is due to expand to the north and south circula...
I found this instruction sheet whilst sorting out some graphics the other day and couldn't recall if I had ever posted it up before so, just in case I haven't. here it is!! If you, like me, struggle with installing the exhaust-side panel graphic then this might help. I can do all the others no problem bu...
Hi, selling my TTR after 5 years happy use. MOT runs until 21.8.20, advisories are "slight fluctuation of brake effort front" - a small ding from an off. Front pads close to limit. Real wheel bearing has slight play. I have All Balls replacements ready to go in. New Vapor speedo fitted about 4 years ago a...

Hi all, I'm trying to fit rear indicators to my TTR, as they've been missing since I bought it. I'm missing the raiser brackets and also the rear lift handle (can't seem to find one anywhere ), so have lots of empty holes on the right hand side rear lol The 2 holes that seem to line up across the rear, one i...

Hi all, I'm Simo, of Finnish origin but based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, since 5 years. I have been riding, repairing and restoring bikes for a number of years in whatever country my work has taken me, most recently Kenya, the US and now Ivory Coast. I joined this forum some time back, so my apologies for ta...
I was rebuilding my carb and attempted removing my accelerator pump nozzle thinking it was simply a screw in type jet... needless to say i was wrong. I attempted screwing it out, stripped it, proceeded to drill it out and remove with a screw extractor thinking i could just replace it... wrong again. It...
Hi all I've been noticing some jitter from my handlebars when riding off-road. Front wheel bearing is fine. One of the shocks also has a bit of a squeak and both feel a bit soft. Is this jitter indicative of leaking seals? It has done 30k km at least so i wouldn't be surprised. -- Edited by JPVIC on Monda...
Morning all, New to the forum and on the look out for a TTR to use for a bit of commuting into central london, but will also grace the green lanes of wales when my KTM breaks down (fairly frequent!). Lovely forum you have here and no doubt when I find the right TTR for me i will post some pics! Take care, Matt ...
Hi All! New to the group having very nearly bought a Raid and missing out last minute due to going on holiday! As the title suggests I am on the look out for a TTR raid model ideally, as it will primarily be used on the road with occasional green lanes when the ktm is misbehaving ;). Will consider the OE model...

Does anyone know if a TTR 250 will fit in a Nissan NV200? Looking at the Specs. it’s touch and go either way. -- Edited by IanU on Sunday 13th of October 2019 11:41:35 AM
So, I did advertise this back in 2017, was rubbish at actually monitoring replies and never actually sold it . I will try harder this time It has sat in my barn ever since waiting for me to get around to selling it. I did buy (but not fit)a complete kickstart kit for it from someone on this forum, and that c...

I do not believe that there was no such question yet, but I do not find. Is it very dangerous in TTR to change gears without a clutch? There are 6 gears, close to each other as in motocross and that's where you usually ride and nothing breaks down.
Best regards and thank you.
Hey guys! What I dont really like about the TTR is that it has manual fuel tap without any fuel gauge, not even a low fuel sensor. Today I was looking for different fuel taps and I found the one on the picture. I think it would be pretty easy to design an adapter to make it fit the TTR. It has a fuel level sensor w...
Got a knock yesterday and the left hand plastic lug that comes back and bolts to the headstock now has a length of around 2-3 cm missing in the middle. If I can get some plastic sheet it looks like I could glue this to the remains of the lug at the surround end. Anyone had any experience of repairing the plas...
