Hi, I am looking for a fuel tank in any condition. (just to use when going for heavy off roading in order not to damage my original and pristine Raid tank) Anyone has one for sale (cheap)? Thanks
I'm a RAID owner with a standard rear shock unit that looked as though it had never been touched. Given that my bike is a 1994 model, time for a strip down, clean and oil change etc. I acquired an old standard rear enduro shock unit from ebay and decided to strip both units down simultaneously, so that an...
So I bought these levers on Amazon. It said that it is compatible with the ttr 250 up to 2013. I've installed the clutch lever with no problem but cannot figure out how to install the brake lever. It does not seem to be compatible. Any ideas?
This happened to me Sunday I have a little pond in the garden near 3000 gallons ok yes laugh I keep Koi as a home hobby and have a youtube fish channel to boot. Well Sunday I had finished filming the video for the week and left the camera running as I was feeding the fish for some back ground shots and a Bird of p...
I have checked and re-checked but cannot find a direction arrow on the sidewall of the tyre I am about to fit. Makes me think maybe the D605s are reversible. Anyone know for sure please? Can't find anything on Google It would be nice to get this job done now as the tyre and workshop are warm Brian
i have an open enduro with derestricted exhaust and opened up air box jetted to suit the better breathing, now runs really well no hesitating just pulls well right through the range BUT starting is now not good with the original jets it started allmost immediatly with the choke button out ,now it needs...
Over the years I have come across many wheel rims that have corroded on the inside next to where the tube valve and/or rim lock fits. Water (and maybe even salty water in the winter) gets in and starts the corrosion. The best way to prevent this happening is quite simple. Fit seals to the tube valves and a r...
Recently purchased from a friend a 2006 TTR 250. New MOT and first ride revealed the tyres are a bit old and hard and the forks may need some lighter oil in them. I was pinging off most things up front. Picture to follow. Jez

So my TTR250 20016 blue model confuses me a bit. The only remnant of indicators is the indicator switch on the handlebar. There aren't even any holes or brackets where indicators used to be. Also no trace of a relay on the harness. So I've gone and bought LED indicators as well as the appropriate relay. I...
Just fitting a new set of D&D decals and started with the rear mudguard as it's the easiest to do. I haven't fitted decals for ages and it took a little while to remember the little tricks. Quite pleased with the result. Fork legs next, then side panels and tank.
Ahhh, 2km from home in rush hour traffic... Pushed it for a km to a local 7-11. Got a new cable coming tonight. Unfortunately I live at the top of a very steep hill....
OK – so this doesn’t feature a TTR tank but the principles will be the same! I went into my workshop one morning and it stank of petrol. The cause was a filler patch on the bottom of my BSA C15 petrol tank falling off and petrol dripping out of various pinholes where the tank had rusted through. Having attac...
Hi guys, please help, I just can’t seem to get the rubber seal from the generator on the crankcase to seal, it is, as they say”pissing out”. I’ve tried squirting gasket gunk round it, but so far to no avail. All sensible ideas welcome, cheers, Brad
and nearly put the TTr up for sale!!!!! It had sat in the garage unused since June and I had not ridden it since March. However, our bi annual trip to Normandy reminded me how bloody good these things are. So it is now in bits , orders placed with Steve, spot on service as usual, a few bearings replaced and ou...
Long time since I've been around here! Back on the TTR and have been noticing some odd gearbox behavior. Specifically, un-cooperative shifting gears when idling at standstill. Doesn't like going from Neutral to 1st or 2nd, or indeed shifting down from any higher gears if I coast to a standstill. Lev...
Hello to Everyone. Love the website, interesting members, and all of the precious knowledge being shared. Purchased my first TTR recently this past August. It was a 2005 with the original tires on it. Someone replaced the stock exhaust with an FMF and rejetted it, but it had a slight miss at mid-r...
Hi recently bought my TTR 250. The first ride revealed that the front end seems to ping off most things rather than suspend nicely. The original owner had put new seals on and replaced the oil for 7.5wt. I was wondering if anyone uses lighter wt oil such as 5wt to soften the forks? the tyre i noticed are in...

Hello all. New to the world of TTRs and new to this forum. I'm quite pleased to have found this site and the wealth of info contained within. I have been reading through and learning a lot from many of the threads. I do however have a specific question. I bought a non-running project bike and have thus far m...
Hi there does anyone have a spare oil pump pin for sale or know the dimensions? I have lost mine during the rebuild process. If you have the dimensions then potentially I may be able to use a hardened needle bearing (cut to size)? Thanks, I'm annoyed I lost mine!
Hi, not sure if I gave the right subject title. (bare with me) Hi all, Francis here from Kampala Uganda. A few days back bought another TTR250 Raid and even though the dealer suggested that its a 2000 model, I know its a 1994(will share pictures) I got the bike a few days back and my local mechanic suggeste...

I have used the oven to remove all bearing and replaced most of them however there are two which I am not sure about. I have tried getting my head around codes but I'm making no progress. I have 2no. I am looking for....
