Oregon TAT and smoke

The Colorado and Montana TAT posts inspired me to re-run the Oregon TAT sections (my recommended that is). I've only found time to do the western half because of work and all, and I have to pray to the dirt gods to let me pass unseen over pavement, so my progress is slow.  If you crossed the Cascades this week after 3000 miles you'd be disappointed. We're into fire season now and for the 3rd year in a row it is really bad. I ran the sections immediately east and west of the pacific crest this weekend, which are spectacular, and here's a taste of the smoke. In this shot I'm at 5000 feet looking down at a river at 1000 feet and a peak (Diamond) at 8700. You can't see the peak at all. Not a fire for 100 miles but you'd think its just over the next ridge that's how big this year's timber fires are. At least none have been blamed on OHVs.  The screen shot from google earth is the afternoon section from Summit Lake to Oakridge.

The two main TAT sites are great but lack input from local riders.  Their Oregon sections really miss a lot of good stuff.

I'm not smart enough to post .kmz or .gpx files here. Can you post a gps file here? Or just a screen shot?
