I will like to know in which direction it turns, For I climbed back up it as I was able. The bike starts up not I think that the rotation direction is not correct. Thank you -- Edited by al...
Hello all... I picked up a '99 TTR250 a few days ago, through a trade and have yet to ride it.. It sat in a barn for about 4-5 years and after some checks, fresh gas and a battery, she fired right up (for a minuite). The carb is leaking so I have it pulled off and I'm waiting for some parts to rebuild it before I t...
Morning all, just thought I would say hello, not strictly a ttr owner, but my other half has one that I ride a fair bit, and do the maintainence on! I will find a picture at some point! Dave
My TTR250 had a flat spot from idle on take off, i thought it had an inlet leak as i couldn't get it to idle smoothly without winding out the mixture screw excessively. I just replaced the inlet manifold o-ring without taking off the carby and it took a while to get it started... in the end some arerostart...

The challenge with tax discs on dirt bikes is to make them last a year without turning to pulp what with all the water they have to endure from rain, ford crossings, power washing, etc. The system I have used for many years with great success is to attach then to the LH ("nearside" as required b...
Hello,
As I've mentioned before I've got an after market head light, there is a bolt hole at the bottom but no bracket to bolt it too, would be okay for mot reason to cable tie to bottom yolk as security and use locking bolts to secure the head light to the bracket on the forks.
Lowered seat for sale as shown below. This was on the bike when I bought it but I have just bought a standard seat as this is too low for me! It has one small knick on the top and another larger on one of the rear corners but both have been covered with gaffa without any problems. £35 posted to mainland UK, or p...
You learn something new every day and, on this occasion, it's a very helpful tip from Brindabella The Search facility in ActiveBoard (generally - not just on this forum) is pretty naff. It is better to use Google and specify that you want the search on this forum e.g. put this into the Google search bar...
New to the forum, i've got a 2000 ttr250 with a baja kit on it. Love the bike, i've had it about ten years now. Have a question about the tail light. My tail light has stopped working when the head light is on. Does the tail light and head light run off the same wire? Brake light works just not runnig light. It'...

Had an awesome ride at toolangi (Victoria Australia). There were alot of riders out and about on all the tracks, but due to the large area it was far between encounters. Tracks were a wide mix of deep boggy mud pits, steep slippery clay descents right through to dry and rocky. Toolangi truly has a wide mi...

Hello all. I just joined this forum though I have been referring to ttr250.com for advice all the time. I bought my 96 TTR OE on February 2010, it is also my first bike. As my riding developed I wanted to sell it to upgrade but then couldn't get myself to let it go. After riding it for longer time I decided th...
Hello out there, Like to introduce myself. Had several Enduro models varying from 250 to 600cc. All of them four-stroke except for one, namely a KTM 250. I'm not so keen on watercooled engines and pistons that have, nearly, the same servicelife as for twostroke. Before i owned a TT350, was a nice mach...
