New to the site. Hello from DJ in Boise, Idaho. I found this site looking for passenger foot pegs so my wife could occasionally ride with me. I would like not to weld to the frame and do not want the clamp onto the swing arm kind. Does anyone know of a bracket type that would bolt somehow to the frame?

I just purchased a 2006 TTR 250. I have ridden Big Bores most of my adult life and finally decided that my WR426 was too much for the tight trails. I traded down to a TTR225 but they are just a little small for me. So I am trying the 250. It sounds like from all the comments here that I have a nice bike. I haven't ridden it yet except for the short test ride.

Best wishes to all you Yamaha fans.

Good choice of machine, DJ. The 250 will have a tad more GO than the 225 but not as much as the WR - as you will find out. smile

If you try Ebay and look for "pillion pegs" you will find an assortment of different pegs to choose from.

If you look for something with a steel hanger it would be an easy task to weld the hanger to the TTR frame. A lot firmer than a clamp-bolt solution.

Beware that the frame tubes are not all that robust so choose wisely. confusehmm
