Has anybody seen a yoshimura RS 3 full system exhaust fitted on a ttr before, if any body has an experience with it or if there is a full system that is better for the ttr, I don't mind if it was little bit loud. -- Edited by Abbas on Saturday 7th of January 2012 01:30:43 PM
The pics are for Valkman who is looking to improve the rear footpegs on his OE. I can't find a decent pic showing the pegs fitted. Can a Raid owner help out please?
as the title suggests, i messed with my mixture on the carb and now it goes a bit like a pig. I tired the whole thing of warming it up, then adjusting the idle speed to a little higher, then turning the mixture to the right until it almost conks out, then turning it to the left till it sounds better, but while r...
Does anyone know of a guard that fits or can be adapted to fit the original headlight on a 2004? Can be either metal or perspex. If not, I am toying with the idea of making one. Do you think its worth it, or just better to go with an aftermarket light and cowling like Brian has for sale? Paul.
Hi Im looking for a good used or new petrol cap with pipe for a early ttr250 oe as mine seems to have been repaired in the past and is now falling apart.
Why run around with a bare rear suspension reservoir? If you loosen the hose clips and free the reservoir you CAN wrap a cover round it. You CAN also drink the contents before cutting the CAN as required. Cheers ...... Martyn
just wondering if someone could explain why someone would remove the whole snorkel, when technically wouldnt removing ONLY the bottom half that isnt visible from the outside of the air box give more breathability, whilst keeping the curve on the outside to deter water? im thinking that having only...
Hi everybody i,m a new member on here, just wanted to no if i could reach the ground with a lowering linkage.? I am 5-6" tall and just abought to purchase 1993 ttr. Cheers Mike.
Well I will start with saying this is one of the best trips iv ever done. well worth it. Myself and the boss (misses) took our 2 weapons of choice 2000 ttr250 and a 2007 crf150f up to the alpine national park. We base camped at a place called sheep yard flats on the north eastern border, just south of MT Bulla...
Hello All, Looking at my chain and sprocket and I notice the sprockets don't look too bad but the chain isn't sitting on the teeth properly, as if the links are too short. On further inspection it appears to have supersprox 50T and a 13T front.Sounds like a nice set up for the dirt but will it work? does any...

Anyone got any side grab rails or whatever they are for a raid spare. Paint doesn't matter, I'll get them powdered, but they must be straight at least. Cheers Spud.
Hi all, i have a white ttr and and i will need to rebuild the engine. I have two crankcases left and right that i bought from Brian sometime ago as the spring return post broke on mine and my question is do i need anything special in the way of tools to remove the crankshaft from mine to refit to the new crankc...
gday guys, just thought i would ask people what options i have for adding a better exhaust system to the TTR250. I have a 2011 model, and noticed that there are lots of FMF exhausts on ebay, but they all say they fit models up to 2006. will these fit the 2011 model also? If so, what can i expect from an exhaust...
Hello again, ok i have owned my ttr250 for 3 1/2 years and i just want to know something, When i blip the throttle really fast when idling it bogs, Is this a normal occurance? or it is the jetting, It has a standard 147 main jet (aussie) and 52.5 pilot jet, and a Fmf powercore 4 exhaust, it seems to be running r...
Now I have seen a rather fancy all singing and dancing Bash plate/ sump guard on recent trip to TTR Towers, but wondered if any other guards fit (have seen an XT500 guard going cheap) has anyone had any joy with other OEM gaurds fitting, or being easily adapted? Piccies always a bonus.
Many thanks to Igor for finding the Web Cam site - see here http://www.webcamshafts.com/ They offer two different camshaft sets as shown below. Anyone heard of the company or tried their camshafts?
Steve Parish is an ex-TTR250 rider and has some wonderful adventures in the Australian wild.See his blog page http://steve.businesscraft.com for a ride he did on the weekend at the Zig-Zag Railway near Lithgow NSW - if this interests you. Makes me a bit jealous to be honest..... Brian
I have finally managed to obtain a set of grab rails to replace mine that were missing when I purchased my bike. They are sound but almost redundant of paint. I am going to give them a quick light blast in the grit blaster in work tomorrow. I then intend to either have them either powder coated or just u...
Hi TTR folk. I'm a TRF member and currently smoke out the lanes of Devon on an early KTM250EXC (2stroke). Fantastic bike in the dirt but quite horrible on tarmac. To be honest I'd happily trade some weight for road maners and quiet. So I've joined your forum to learn more about the TTR and hopefully find o...
I seem to be dribbling oil out from near the starter motor on my white raid model, is there a common failure point somewhere round there? It's not the output shaft seal. There's no severe bang from the sprag clutch when i stop the bike. Hope someone can advise! Thanks Mark
Hello all, Im on a mission to get my 06 TTR running smoothly - seems to idle a bit rough, cleaned carb, new plug, pilot jet was 9 turns out!! manual says 1.5 turns what seems to work for you guys? Im in New England , Connecticut about 325 ft above sea level, Any thoughts / suggestions ?? Thanks all best as a...
Hi Don't suppose anyone knows the intervals for a oil and filter change on a TTR air cooled 2003 model? Also the capacity of engine oil it holds ? Any help would be great :) Thanks Dan
I haven't been out on the Devon lanes for a long time so jumped in on a short novice run on Saturday and was joined by fellow TTR rider Martyn (Cubber on this forum). The TTR performed perfectly but my winter clothing wasn't quite what I had hoped. My Frank Thomas over trousers wouldn't fit over the top of m...
Hello everyone, I recently purchased a 2001 TTR 250 & so far I'm having great fun checking out the nearby lanes & tracks. The locals are a lot more bike tolerant over here, so that's a bonus.
