Raid tank on a blue 02?

Quick reply needed- there is a raid tank ending shortly on Ebay. Question is will the Raid tank (& I suspect I'll have to find a Raid seat to fit with it) fit on an 02 blue TTR?

1st time I used my new TTR was on a long weekend in the Pyrennes. Another of the blokes wrote it up, hopefully the link will work;

After reading the write up you'll understand why a bit bigger tank is what I'm after

The TTR aquitted it self without fault. 1 of the 2 DRZs had a problem but all 3 small bike riders were happy at the back of the gaggle and looked untired & easy at the end of the days. The 2 690s worked really well, the bigger bikes were a worry to some of their riders

Forgot to say - the Raid seat is quite a bit wider than the OE at the front so best to use the Raid seat with the Raid tank if you can. Trouble is they don't come up for sale very often - I know because I need one myself!

I took some pics of the various combinations of tanks and seats and posted them up but can't find the thread disbelief

Here are some pics of a Raid seat so you can see what I mean:

It won't fit without a bit of work!

The blue frame is missing the spigot that holds on the locating rubber - see below:

Also the locating spigot at the back is missing on the blue frame.

Not insurmountable problems but best to be aware!

Found the pics on my PC!

Here are pics of a Raid seat and tank on an OE - looked fine to me!

The reverse wasn't the case as the OE seat and tank didn't look right on the Raid as the seat doesn't fit nicely around the pods! But I can't think why anyone would want to do it anyways confuse

Thanks very much Brian, a thorough answer at short notice. Think I'll wait it out...I've never seen a Raid seat up for grabs either.

Anyone got a large tank?
