I have rebuilt linkage and rear absorber bearings in my 96 OE with all balls linkage kit and after putting it all together I have found that there is still a significant swingarm vertical play. I have realized that collars, that come with all balls kit (marked 27, 28, 29 on swingarm diagram from this si...

An early morning call and Mr TTR said that he was about to venture forth with Bro., did I want to go? Well, since the recent winds had blown themselves out and since the rain had stopped horsing down, I thought "Why not?" I arrived at TTR Towers on the dot and Mr TTR was readying. Young Bro. was su...
I replaced the linkage bearings on my TTR yesterday and, having dug through my spares box, decided that I don't need so many spare relay and link arms! So I spent a grimy day today pressing out all the old bearings and cleaning up the arms. Out of 8 relay arms that I "processed" there wasn't one...
Hey, I'm struggling to jet my 1995 250 Raid. It has an FMF powercore 4 exhaust, and has had the top of the snorkel cut off. Can anyone advise on a good pair of jets for this setup?
I am selling my kouba lowering link, it's almost immaculate just one small bit of one seal is folded but it still seals fine and all bearings are in excelent condition. I'm looking for £70 plus postage or collect for free from near Stanstead airport UK.
Cheers

If anyone fancies a day out in Shropshire let me know. We have some great lanes here, mostly easier riding through some great, largely agricultural scenery. Would suit those that haven't done much green lane or trail riding.
Having just gotten my TTR, I am going through repairing the odds & ends that are damaged or broken, one of which was the headlight/plate. It had a broken tab on one side, presumably from a spill & was bouncing around pretty good when I got it. Instead of repairing the one tab, I decided to remove t...
Well I thought my bike was running rich as the spark plug has a sooty black appearance. ( not shinny black) However I read that if ur exhaust makes a popping sound it's lean.. My exhaust makes this on deseleration. ( i always thought this was maybe a bit of extra fuel burning). Any ideas?? The exhaust is an...
I have just re-assemblyed my TTR raid, after replacing the piston rings. When replacing the cam shafts, as soon as I tighten up the bolts the cam shafts become too tight to turn by hand. Even if I just do the bolts up hand tight they are really stiff. Is this normal? I have completely re-assembled the eng...

Last year whilst riding in Spain and Portugal, the bike tended to bog and slow and stutter on inclines. So before this years trip I gave the carb the once over. All good across Europe, but just before Ankara the problem resurfaced, the problem seemed to be mainly in mid throttle positions. After a few ca...

Anyone tried getting decals for the Raid off Yamaha? Think I'm going to replace the ones missing off my latest Raid if I can. Seriously 90's cheese but what the hell. My other Raid can do without although I did get some copies from Sri Lanka so it may have to be cheesed up as well.
