Hi there to all TTRers im a late starter for punishing myself on my new ttr250 in life, I've been hitting the dirt with my bike and body to no end. Just clocked up my first 1800 km's and thought it be a good idea to do my own first oil change myself, but in true fashion I've snapped off the head on my oil filler bolt when tightening . Not to worry I'm sure I'll be on her in no time loving every minute of it.

Welcome Shaun.

As you have discovered, when doing an oil change take things slowly. The aluminium filler bolt is fragile - so don't be tempted to overtighten.........oops, sorry! biggrin

It seems to be a regular thing with owners recently - yours is the third that needs replacing in the last two months.

I'm sure you will gain by your experience - the same as falling off trains you to look ahead and think ahead when the going gets tough. wink

These are lessons that show and you can be proud of when you finally mature. I'm getting there, but slowly. aww

Martyn

Mine looks like crap ATM, all scratched and bruised plastics, can't decide if I want to clean it up or just leave it so it can happen all over again confuse

Cheers
