Hi Guys, I am swapping out my standard 14 tooth front sprocket for a 13 tooth one and noticed (as shown in pics) the current one seems to have rubber on both sides that the new one doesn't. Is this something I need to mount on the new one???? Or just an option that is not really necessary?? Thanks, Michae...

Today's been very drizzly and not like summer at all. Whilst out and about in the car we were following a van. The registration plate caught my eye and since I had my camera handy here is a blurred crop of the snap. Quite appropriate but, sadly, not 250 TTR or TTR 250. Martyn
Looking for a kick start kit for my 2005. Have been all thru here and other sites. Either none of the sites carry this or the links are too old. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, does anyone else run one of these ? my ride came with one fitted but Ive never really used one in the past, I like to clean and lube myself (ooer mrs), so I can do a few checks and keep a eye on things, Just wondered on peoples thoughts of these.
Went along to assist a local club set out the track for a moto x race meeting on Sunday and was invited to join in! Apparently you can get a one day competition licence, but I won't be taking up the offer, I had enough fun tearing round the track after it was set out.
Hello All. I thought I'd finally introduce myself here as I've been floating around for a while soaking up all the info in the maintenance threads. i bought a 99 TTR 250 Raid back in April and have already had a few experiences I thought I would share! Just wondering if it's possible to use the gauges from an XT350 (speedo at least). I know you guys can use xt225 gauges, but how do you hook up a speedo cable to the front hub if your blue model only has the Yamaha odometer? Just saying cause I got to ride a 1990 xt350 and I liked it. Thanks! -- Edited by yamaha...
Hi All Firstly, although this isn't a ttr related problem, I'm hoping an electrical wizard will be able to help me figure out where I am going wrong! My DR350 got stolen a few weeks back. By some miracle the police managed to recover it after seeing some kids wheeling it about outside a travellers site....
Has there ever been any comment on the 280 kit's performance? I found the bit in Brian's thread about the OE's resto but then the trail runs cold? I'd like to know what's involved-cost & time and the results Anyone know? Mark
I have sourced a few pairs of new original Yamaha TTR250 mirrors. These have the correct left and right hand threads to fit into the existing sockets on your clutch and brake perches. They will also fit WRFs and WR250R/Xs It's a personal choice as to whether to to run mirrors but I like to keep an eye on who...
Hey guys, The majority of riding I do is real tight steep 1st gear mountain trails, I find I am needing more revs than are practical at these slow speeds and thinking about changing my sprocket to give me more revs/grunt down low. I have standard 14 and 44 tooth setup at the moment and my question is i...

Time for me to ask the dumb question, I brought a FMF Q4 silencer (not sure why now) it was a bit noisy but I fitted a piece of perforated stainless pipe with a blanked off end inside the back of the silencer and it works fine but I suspect I need to change the carb settings (although the bike runs ok). Any ide...

I went to adjust my needle and I realized the washer with the locking tab that sits below the needle clip is missing Is this a universal part? Carb sat with fuel in it for about a year. Of course the gas went bad and gummed it up. I tore it apart and cleaned it. First start it ran extremely lean. Bike had no power and would cut out above quarter throttle. Tore it down again and did a better job of cleaning it. Jets appear to be clear. Put it back togeth...

Hi. The previous owner of my bike had the tank re-sprayed to a good standard, however he tried to apply the 'standard' TTR stickers to each side and it didn't go so well! They are also now peeling at the front as well and would like to replace them. I like the 'retro' 80's colours and would like to stick w...
