There are a lot of urban myths and quite a bit of folklore about bearings and the best make, type and quality. I received the email copied below today and, unless I have got hold of the wrong end of the stick, the company seems to produce virtually every make and type of bearing known to man. Is this eviden...
Pick it up next week Needs a few alterations but notice the wider foot pegs which is being discussed on another thread needs a good clean, so first job is to strip clean and regrease

I found this forum while researching tutorials on how to rebuild a TTR 250 engine. I'm an American living/working in Vietnam and I recently bought a Japan Model Raid. Not sure of the year because the VIN doesn't match the traditional VIN format. I'm coming off of a 2013 KTM 500 EXC Motard so as you can i...

I bought my TTr 250 OE 1994 registered 1999 recently. Posted a question about a headlight and reply was most helpful. Thanks. Bike in remarkably good condition with just under 20,000 Kms. I got it from a local enthusiast into trials and road riding. Anyway looking forward to some fun with it ! Ian

At a handsome 6ft 4inch I have just ordered the longer cables so I can fit my hi bars However I have a secret hidden hope, my clutch biting point is right at the very end of the lever. No matter how much free play I take out the biting point is as soon as the cable is pulled after the slack is taken up Reckon new...
Just a quick question really. Are all ttr250 using the same front sprocket design, I am aware my open enduro is a import as its a 1993 in the UK so doesn't show up when doing a UK part search. So if I just type 1999 in the parts search all bits should fit my bike? (not petrol tanks of course)

I have had a lot of spam messages today about kitchen sales from new members registering in Indonesia using gmail.com or yopmail.com email domains. After messing about for a while I decided to take a broad brush approach and have deleted all new users registered today with these domains. If that incl...

Here's a pic of my last oil filter. It has bits in it, which I suppose means it did the job but I'll admit to being a bit horrified. Most are black but a few are metallic. I can't draw them out with a magnet so I guess they're either squeezed in really tight or non ferric. Anyone seen the like or have any ideas as...

After considering selling my ttr after busting the rings and scouring the barrel, I've decided to keep the old girl as my heart strings tugged at me every time I considered selling and she has been the most dependable and always there for me motorbike I've ever had, it never failed to start even in the sn...

The Serow bike compared to the TTR occasionally crops up on this forum. Having personally started green laning on the Serow a few years ago I later moved to the TTR. At the time I had recently read both of Lois Price books, the first when she used a Serow and the second when using a TTR for long distance rid...
