just picked up TTR250 cylinder with no sleeve....
Dose anyone know the dia of the sleeve where it goes in the crank case ?
I have a old nissan sleeve that may have enough metal in it to machine to fit.. 72mm ID / 86mm OD
would like to go as big in bore as I can with out having to pull the motor
down to bore the cases..

Hi Pete
I got a pair of standard crankcases (£40) and also a pair already bored out to take the Thumper oversize sleeve (£95).
The killer will be the shipping cost to NZ but if you are interested then I will see what the best price is.

ok..see what the shiping cost is.... If I can build a motor for around a 1000nz it's not to bad...
prob be the un-bored cases.... as I can bore them myself to what ever size I go to..
Bad news Pete - the best quote I can get for shipping is over £60
You may be able to get the cases much cheaper locally.
Thats $190NZ all up..isn't as bad as it seems...
If I could fined a set of useable cases here
I most lightly could get them any cheaper..
I will look around..but I think I will be back to yer...
