For owners of blue TTRs, a simple upgrade is to fit footpegs from the older white model. The blue pegs are 30mm wide and the white ones are 37/38mm wide. The wider ones fit straight in Hope that helps someone. I have not been able to source a sensibly priced set of after-market wide pegs Brian
Hi every one, I just bought my first 2011 TTR250 with 520km on the clock! I know good find right! Don't worry it cost me a pretty penny to have it shipped interstate. I just took off all the blinkers and number plate holder as it will be used for dirt at this stage. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone can tel...

Due to a lack of funds it looks like the TTR will be getting just a tart up this year. Once the engine is out I can then start prepping the frame. Started today just got the engine bolts to come out then lift the engine out for the strip down. The bottom mount looks a bit of a pain to remove. Heres a couple of pic...
Hi I'm after a Right (as you are sat on the bike, offside) plastic panel. Does anyone have one spare please? I will take a complete set if its easier Regards Rod
Thought I would give the TTR a bit of TLC today Threw a pair of new D606's on, I was going to fit them onto the WRR but ordered a set of MT21's for the WRR. The D606 have been to the Flinders twice plus local rides so happy. I've washed the bike 3 times since the Flinders trip & it was still dirty, degreased i...
Been looking at the site for a few days.. tons of good info for the average skilled gearhead. Hope to have the bike running in the next 24hrs thanks to info on the Carb section. Thanks for the info!
Just put on new chain and sprockets .I recon it feels better than new rubber or fresh oil Got me thinking what do the ttr folk think is their favorite service .
Hey Guys, I spent a few hours sifting through stickies and threads looking for information on jetting the carb on my fathers new bike for some mods we are getting ready to install. I am hoping to order some jet sizes that will get us dialed in before hand. Bike: 2005 TTR 250 US Model Elevation: Sea Leve...
Posting this here so others might see it, it you need to remove the float from your carby read the post below. Worked so easily for me and I'd been dreading the thought of ever needing to do it. Pin popped out in a few seconds and the same to put it back in. http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t61485128/re...
Hey guys, my name is Justin and I live in the state of Maine, USA. I recently picked up a 1999 TTR250 for what I think was a fair deal. It needed some minor stuff (chain and sprockets) but I tackled most of it. It has been used that is for sure but judging from the lack of rust and no serious damage it looks li...

Got the rear rack and pannier arms from Steve at Totally TTRs a while ago and have just finished fitting them. It's going to give me more options for carrying my camping and fishing gear. Really pleased with it.
Hi, I have read all the relevant threads that I could find on this but am still unsure if I need an in line fuse? I am fitting a cigarette lighter socket, I plan to run a live wire from an available cdi connection and would like to know where the best place to connect the earth would be? Also if using the socket...
Ok so I need new rear wheel bearings & seals... found a sticky with the sizes... BUT... it says bearings 60X22 ????... Oil seals 28X47X7...????? Oil seal with a smaller OD than the bearing....can't be correct.. now none of my bearing books list a 22mm ID bearing... which would be close to 7/8"......
Hi I'm a couple of weeks into my trip to NZ from the UK, currently in Slovenia. Today I changed the oil / filter out and noticed a fair bit of swarf on the filter, about as much that would cover half a five pence piece.... it's definitely swarf and not powder, quite sizeable pieces. I've also got a bit of a noi...
The rear shock spring I am currently working on is 80/200 25cm long Has anyone used not a softer spring, but a slightly shorter one(23cm)??- which I am hoping, will reduce down the height slightly. (I am already using a lowering link) -- Edited by RodYorkttr on Monday 5th of June 2017 09:46:42 PM
Hi all, A while ago myself and two friends were convinced by Malcolm (moo.) to buy ttr250s. We then thought why not ride go for a trip on them? So in May 2018 we have decided to ride them from Northamptonshire Uk to Austrailia. As a group we will need more parts to better prep ourselves. If anyone has any of t...

Was looking at lowering the WRR & check into lowering links etc. Kept coming up with üse the Yamaha 1"lowering option I did it last night, dropped the link off out of the way & adjusted the link yoke, wound the yoke up into the shock thread. Slipped the forks through the triples around 13mm, now I...
