My CDI unit is making a whining noise and i recently replaced the ignition coil and still no spark. i'm thinking my CDI have gone bad, and a new unit till cost around 270USD here, so i was wondering if there's any alternative new tech, something like a bosch ignition to replace the CDI? any ideas?

It is very difficult to remove/replace the choke with a standard spanner as there just isn't any room to turn it. I finally got motivated to grind down an old 12mm open-ended spanner to give some clearance and it works a treat
The page above came from a blue TTR manual and it's different to the instructions in the older TTRs' manual which, in step 4 (actually it's instruction 5 in the older manual), adds "and warm up the engine for several minutes" I am missing something here - why warm the engine up on the older TTRs? I am about...

I was wondering if its that hard to put the blue plastics onto my open enduro and my ones on my ttr are really scratched and cracked. And also this might be a long shot but what does it take to fit the blue tank on to the Open Enduro Thanks, Dan
Ok guys, new here So I'm sorry if this has been covered. I got my hands on an 04 blue 250 pretty much free in a trade as boot. It was bored .20 over and when they put it back together it wouldn't run. After I tore into it, ended up being bent exhaust valves. Got all that fixed. Then the carb was very dirty, and of c...
These specs are based on the lowest TTR250 specs and some models may have a rating than specified below. If your model specs are different to below refer to those specs for maximum Headlight/tail-light capacity. I would not recommend running more than two Tail-light bulbs: 12V 5W/21W (or the equ...
I've just pulled the forks apart on my bluey and changed the oil then pumped some air into the schrader valve (2.5psi) and they feel 100% better but where's the damping clicker adjuster that's mentioned in the manual? My bike only has the top fork tube nut and the air valve in the middle of that (see pic) T...
Right, so instead of a few sporadic threads throughout the site and as responses to others' threads, I though I'd create a thread on my bike. I bought it back in January from a guy I know on the Landy forum up in the Hunter Valley. It only had just over 1000kms on the odometer when I picked it up (well it was...
hi everyone, I have another question. i just got my ttr250 road legal and have been riding it aroun. I feel like I am shifting up and down way more than I do on trails. Is too much shifting bad for the transmission? Also at red lights should I turn the bike off or will it get to hot from not moving?

Off of a 1993/94 I had last year...maybe of been 2 years ago now, the memory fades at my age. Good used condition. In aluminum and super light. Comes with bungee hooks and a very nice piece of kit indeed. I think £50 sounds cheap enough. My memory now informs me it was from my Open Enduro but should fit the R...
Hi, i need help with my 1996 ttr oe. i originally wanted to install led indicators so i did and replaced the relay as well. the indicators were crap and i just bought some tungsten ones but when i replaced the relay i pulled the pins from the plug on the adapter to the old relay and now i don't know the origina...
I am curently restoring the pretty metallic blue tanked version of the 4RR2 model Open Enduro and had a problem tracing a headlight fault.I was surprised to find a relay under the tank which I hadn't come across before. Looking at the parts manual, this relay was only fitted to the 4RR2 and 4WA1 (Raid) m...
