Hi everyone! Hope you've all been enjoying the Christmas break! I purchased my 2001 TTR250 just a few weeks ago and very pleased with the purchased, it is my first bike. I've stripped it down for a thorough wash and addressed some rust on the frame and repainted it for the meantime, I'll get it powder-co...
So I just replaced the piston rings and cam chain on one of my TTR's that had a little rattle in the (so I thought) top end. At the time there was little to no play in the big end so was left as it was. Few rides later and the noise that never left was back and at the first oil change the (after 2 hours ridding) the...
I have been asked several times what mirrors I'm using on my TTR & WRR, I've been using this style since 1982 & so far only broken one. Anyhow page 17 of the MCS catalog 3" clamp on enduro http://mcsonline.com.au/Catologue/ch_3.pdf And a photo of the page in question, not sure how you will go ge...

just joined the forum as I am trying to grab at everything I should have found time for before. Also I live in the Lake District and have fantastic trails available locally so why not enjoy them before it's too late. I have a BMW F800 GS for road use but need a lightweight trail bike to get off road. Having en...
Had this plastic air-scoop lying around for ages - took it off the quad as it was just another place for mud to collect (plastic behind it was not cut). 2 zip ties later I have a screen Works well, will upgrade to stronger zip ties just in case.

Have had many parcels delivered from Brian and now Steve...
these are pretty common this time of year but this one is a classic good direct hit .with splinters in every direction for about 20 meters . good incentive to avoid the ridges on the way home

Hi everyone, I had my TTR for the past year and use it as my daily commute in Malta. I find it ideal in view of short distances and traffic around the island. Happy riding! Sam
How do people clean their spokes? Want to know as it is the part of ttr I don't know how to clean. And keeping it clean seems to be the main part of maitenence because it is a trouble free bike!
Thought it would be an interesting thread for everyone to post what Jets they are running along with any mods, exhausts and altitudes they are using. Mainly because there still seems to be a lot of different standard jets the TTRs run and it's unclear why? I've just fully rebuilt my bluey with the all ba...

I am currently rebuilding a 94 OE, amongst other things I found that the float valve wasn't closing properly. I have read the warnings about breaking the posts while trying to remove the float pin, so I was hesitant to try and remove the valve at first. After a bit of reading on the internet I found a tip to...
Hi all Dom here. New to green laning this year and doing it on a 78 Honda XL100s! the bike does well but struggles on the road work to hang on to the pack. Missed a mint uk ttr a few months ago as it was the right bike, wrong time. A ttr is top of my wi...

Greetings from New Zealand! Ok this is really confusing but does anyone know if any of the 1993 TTR-250 OPEN ENDURO model came with the Raid motor with the kickstart, oil cooler etc. My bike has these and I'm not too sure if its had them fitted or its from factory or if its even had an engine swap! Any reply...
hi folks as a previous owner of a TTR and knowing there are a lot of TTR owner/Riders in the Devon area I thought I would ask on here for a ride leader. Sadly I have already got a prior booking over the weekend of the new T 2 T Devon event this year. However it would be great to get a few of us from Herts down to r...
Seem to have developed a starting problem on the ttr, where I put the choke and fuel on crank the engine, it starts straight away but the dies. I can do this 4/5 times and eventually I can get it to keep going but before this it used to start on the button. When its warm/hot there,s no problem I can start it eas...
Hello guys I'm ideally after a blue ttr I'm in cumbria so would love to find one within riding distance. Failing that I would need the bike to be couriered, I've spoken to a lad in the nw already so collection wouldn't be an issue. Looking for a 2001/2002 onwards if possible Many thanks John
