Hi all, Bit of an ask but I am looking for an analogue speedo mount, plus a speedo and the warning lights, mine only came with the warning light ty-wrapped to the bars (after an altercation with a tree...) which is rather worse for wear but works. If anyone can help with any of the above it would be greatl...
Just wondering if theres a good how-to for installing front brake pads I used this - http://www.ttr250.com/TTR_rear_discpads.htm for the rear ones and it was very easy but not sure how to do the front ones
In sunny weather (yes, we have had some in the UK!) it can be difficult to see if the neutral light is on so I have just changed the bulb for an LED one and it has made a huge difference! The TTR uses a capless bulb and it wasn't difficult to find an LED version: Before: After: Bright eh? Nice easy job Bria...
If your original unit is damaged or missing and you are fitting an after-market switch you may need some additional parts. When I was building my project bike, these are the additional parts I needed to properly fit the switch. It is more than likely that you will already have these on your TTR. Firs...

Spin cable at bottom and speedo needle moves . put a match in bottom pic up and it spun intermittently ie a couple of sparodic turns every turn of the wheel . Stripped and cleaned pic up and found the problem . The 3 tang washer had lost its flat sides ( see pi...

Hi everyone! Hope you've all been enjoying the Christmas break! I purchased my 2001 TTR250 just a few weeks ago and very pleased with the purchased, it is my first bike. I've stripped it down for a thorough wash and addressed some rust on the frame and repainted it for the meantime, I'll get it powder-co...
So I just replaced the piston rings and cam chain on one of my TTR's that had a little rattle in the (so I thought) top end. At the time there was little to no play in the big end so was left as it was. Few rides later and the noise that never left was back and at the first oil change the (after 2 hours ridding) the...
I have been asked several times what mirrors I'm using on my TTR & WRR, I've been using this style since 1982 & so far only broken one. Anyhow page 17 of the MCS catalog 3" clamp on enduro http://mcsonline.com.au/Catologue/ch_3.pdf And a photo of the page in question, not sure how you will go ge...

just joined the forum as I am trying to grab at everything I should have found time for before. Also I live in the Lake District and have fantastic trails available locally so why not enjoy them before it's too late. I have a BMW F800 GS for road use but need a lightweight trail bike to get off road. Having en...
Had this plastic air-scoop lying around for ages - took it off the quad as it was just another place for mud to collect (plastic behind it was not cut). 2 zip ties later I have a screen Works well, will upgrade to stronger zip ties just in case.

I'm down in Brighton, East Sussex and have been renovating a Raid over the past couple of years, hoping to get out and do so light green laning in the near future. Have had many parcels delivered from Brian and now Steve...

Hi everyone, I had my TTR for the past year and use it as my daily commute in Malta. I find it ideal in view of short distances and traffic around the island. Happy riding! Sam
How do people clean their spokes? Want to know as it is the part of ttr I don't know how to clean. And keeping it clean seems to be the main part of maitenence because it is a trouble free bike!
Thought it would be an interesting thread for everyone to post what Jets they are running along with any mods, exhausts and altitudes they are using. Mainly because there still seems to be a lot of different standard jets the TTRs run and it's unclear why? I've just fully rebuilt my bluey with the all ba...
