1994 YAMAHA TTR250 RAID * 9,200 MILES - WARRANTY & 12 MONTHS MOT * TRAIL Accept it's a Raid but seems higher than when I started looking a few months ago. Maybe spring fever ?
So we have had some deliberately cheesey ones, but does anyone have some harf decent ones?! Or pant wettingly gooduns?... If so post them in this here thread...
After my recent bit of green-laning I noticed my right boot had a bit of oil on it. Today I had a closer look at the bike to see where it had come from. I thought it was going to be the banjo coupling in the photo, but it turned out to be the allen screw below it. It looks like the screw had been glued in place with...

Hello Malcolm Woods from Norfolk here, just got my first off roader, its a 1997 Yamaha 250 with 7000km. I am sure it was an import and now worried that i will not be able to get parts, do anyone know what the equivalent british import would have been i.e. xt250 maybe? As i have no handbook. is the chain set as...
And it sounds awesome too I saw it at a local Hot Rod meet last week. I am not a fan of the huge Harleys that look like Goldwings but this one looked superb. Is it a "bobber"?
Has anyone done one yet? I found a tank at a price I could not miss. I am handy enough, but if someone has done the hard work I will appreciate some info. Cheers
Just a quick question. I have an OE with standard digital Speedo on it and out the back of it is a blue and red striped wire that isn't connected to anything. Is the Speedo supposed to have a back light at all or does anyone know what on earth that wire is for? Cheers Jordan
hi all, first post and already asking questions. just picked up a open enduro and tried to insure it As a additional bike on my existing policy (Bennetts) and from the registration number they said it was a TZR250. When they tried to do it manually there was no ttr on their list so cannot insure it. The V5 j...
So have the following issue with my bike and would appreciate any ideas and help. The bike starts when cold and run quite happily until the engine starts to warm up at which point it dies and loses its spark. If you hold the throttle open fully it will run but as soon as you close the throttle back to idle or...
Just got this raid a few days ago and so far it's been running great apart from a couple of minor issues. The first is the carb leaks from the diaphragm gaskets and an issue I think is linked to that is occasionally what sounds like the carb area will make a loud pop sound and the bike may or may not stall. I'm...
I have not used the TTR for a few months... so i sorted it out yesterday & today i was off with it on the trailer for a ride.... got to the wiamak for a few hours of forestry single track fun... but the ride only lasted 15mins if that... got spat off into a log... even my body armor didn't save my ribs this ti...
As the title suggests, we are making the road trip to the Victorian high country next weekend, it's 1200 odd Kms from Adelaide in South Australia, will have three bikes in my trailer, 2 x TT250R's & one WR250R. This will be the 1st time for me & my mate Dave & we know they have big hills but we do...
Cheers y'all, my skis are still down but I couldn't resist getting the bikes out last week. Thursday rode Shotgun Creek west slope of the Cascades, muddy as hell on the shady sides of the hills, bad, and snow, temperate rain forest volcanic ash/cinder over clay/detritus. Friday drove an extra hour...
Hi chaps Had my bike for 4 years now but not been out for a while for many reasons. However, Been getting some silly quotes and was wondering who people are using for insurance. Couple of years back got my bike insured for £71 3rd party, fire & theft - is this figure now silly to expect. I thought not b...
The rear fender (blue 2010 model) has the black plastic extension (for the number plate) that is held on by three bolts (one at the top, 2 on the side). Does anyone please have a parts number handy for the metal side collars that are the spacers for the plastic? Unless you locktight them on, they fall off i...
I have a carb that runs rich on tickover. Just touch the choke and its stalls immediately. I have set the float height artificially low - made no difference so it's not flooding. I have checked that the choke is seating properly so that's not the issue. I tried a smaller pilot jet and it made no difference...
Hi all, My 93 OE has had several regulator/rectifier failures over time. I have a kickstart as well so I continued using the bike while waiting for parts. Each time I've ignored this, the stator has failed and needed replacing or rewinding. When I got the bike the wiring loom had been thoroughly butc...
Hi there, I noticed a slight weep of oil had gotten a little more noticable so decided that it was time to investigate. I replaced the copper washer behind the neutral swtch thing and checked the generator covers bolts. I then rembered there was one hidden so I took of the cover for the gears between the s...
