Hi all Currently I have a 14/50 set up, which works well off road on the easy tracks in Hertfordshire, UK. Top speed on the road is about 102 kph (63mph) I think I'd like to do the Institute of Advanced Motorists test, and a prerequisite is the bike must be able to do above 70mph. What gearing do you think I ne...

Hi Guys, Just bought a 2006 ttr250. cant wait to get out on it!! Just changing the sprockets and tyres to make it more offroad friendly got a question, Going to run 13-48 sprockets, got a new 110/100/18 ac10 tyre. Is this combo going to fit? Fitting a new chain as well. Searching the site it seems i...

Just thought i'd let everyone know what rear sprockets interchange. The front (as far as i know) is not interchangable with anything as the TTR-250 front sprocket has a built in collar whereas the others have a separate collar. I have found front sprockets that fit the shaft but whether or not this wou...

Hi I have just joined the forum and have been having a good look round for sprocket/chain info but haven't found anything that matches the setup on my bike. It's a 1994 Raid (4GY3) with an 18T front sprocket, 57T rear sprocket and what I take to be a 428 -134 chain. The chain needs replacing and I guess I s...

Just a quick question really. Are all ttr250 using the same front sprocket design, I am aware my open enduro is a import as its a 1993 in the UK so doesn't show up when doing a UK part search. So if I just type 1999 in the parts search all bits should fit my bike? (not petrol tanks of course)

After a ride over the weekend... I have found the gearing is far to tall.. 13/44 So I have ordered 12/13/14 engine sprockets & a 47 rear.. The 14/47 gives the same ratio as 13/44 12 & 13 sprockets to lower the ratio.. which are the same as increassing the rear sprocket by 3 or 6 teeth.. Should beab...

Another sprocket/chain question but I'm not asking for gearing combos so hopefully it's an easy one
