I just fitted a new chain and sprockets however there are 2 wire clips... Im presuming these are for spacers for the rubber o rings when you first instal the soft link and are removed afterwards.... Is this correct please as Ive not used the wire clips before?
Its these little thin wires that come with it I never seen before do i need these as Ive used a chain tool to flare the end of the pins plus a punch to flatten the edge so there no way that links coming out!

Ok Mike its Mike here with the answer The wires are only for using for when installing the plate and rivet link which are in fact spacers to stop you crushing the O rings. These W shaped wires are then removed and disposed of once the rivet has been secured.
