More help for the mechanically clueless please.
(Preview)
Popped out for a ride today and noticed that when accelerating hard in all gears from 3rd on, once I get above a certain number of revs the bike starts to rev like the clutch is being pulled in and the bike stops pulling. Driving at a more reserved pace isn't a problem, it only happens when the revs hit a cer...

Motion Pro M8 stud installer/extractor
(Preview)
Just a quick post to say that I bought one of these a month or so ago but have only just used it for the first time on TTR exhaust studs. It works really well and has certainly earned its place in my toolbox I used to use two nuts tightened against each other but that's such a faff - so easy with this extractor ...

On my "shopping" TTR, the choke makes the engine rev quite high which isn't what you need on a cold engine before the oil gets circulated I know it's going to do it so am ready but why is it happening The TTR runs perfectly otherwise. Brian

Miss-fire under hard acceleration.
(Preview)
Had a miss-fire problem since I had the bike, thought I had cured it with a new plug and cleaning the plug seating on the head but it's come back again. I was wondering if it could be a faulty coil or plug cap - or anything else?. I can't see it being a carb problem - that's been cleaned out a few times. It mainly...

I recently had the seat recovered and when I look at the underside it is obvious there were once a couple of rubber (or similar) pads on the underside and there is a 6mm thread for attaching same. Our upholsterer tells us that "No, I never saw any pads there". It looks to me as though they would h...
