On my "shopping" TTR, the choke makes the engine rev quite high which isn't what you need on a cold engine before the oil gets circulated I know it's going to do it so am ready but why is it happening The TTR runs perfectly otherwise. Brian

Hello there, I own a Yamaha ttr250, there is a rounded rubber-like located above the chain (on the left side of the bike) that rolls with the chain in case over weighting on the bike, what is it called ? I have just stripped out a linkage arm where the previous owner had tried replacing the standard spherical bearing with phosphor bronze plain bearing It didn't work as you will see from the pics below

Hello, My 2004 ttr has developed a rattle. Its actually more of a jingle that happens when the engine is not under load. I wondered if it could be the clutch plates having worn tabs but any thoughts would be welcome before dismantling anything. Thanks Alex
