Have you been taking the emulsifier (or at least that's what I think it is) tube off to empty? Part 28 in the pic below.

It needs to be done fairly regularly. My guess is that, if its full, the fluid would run into the airbox.

The TTR250 has an air breather hose that runs from the cylinder head to the bottom of the airbox. If you find a little bit of oil in the airbox, don't worry, it is perfectly normal. If there is too much I would suggest that you overfilled the oil, your valves are on the way out (not that likely) or you have piston blow-by causing the oil to pressurize.

Part number 22 below is the oil separator, N16 and 28 need to be drained regularly as they build up with water and oil.

Sorry about any repeated info, Brian just beat me to it.

The bike is generally new to me, not sure the previous owner has done any maintenance as far draining is concerned, I did drain out all

the emulsified water, where is that coming from?

Will take the tubing off today and use my air line to clear out any residue in the pipes,

Will Also do a service today as the oil filler level is on the low side, which is why I asked about oil in the air box as I thought it was throwing the oil back somehow.

It usually comes from water getting into the airbox, but condensation also builds up.
