after putting a new timing chain on my ttr250 2004 model as it was stretched, and it has been starved of oil on the head due to the blanking bolt being left in (sounds nice running still) I thought that maybe the excess heat on the valves and cams had killed the stem seals ( but it doesn't smoke much on sta...

Today the sun made it's first appearance for weeks in Christchurch New Zealand. My newly road registered OE was calling to me, and I heeded the call. I headed over to the local trails which run alongside a large braided river and I was in for a treat. I had the place to myself and the TTR just tore it up. Mud,...
Went out today on the WR250R, was very cold & wet but I stayed warm & dry. Did 200kms & only stopped once to turn the gopro on at the start of the single track. I had single tracks with wet sand (good ) wet clay ( bad ) twin track, dry weather roads, dirt / gravel roads etc. Got a few videos from tod...

Hi Guys, Recently bought TTR250 2008 (17k kms) and noticed a small oil leaking from the left corner of the bottom gasket. My mechanic recommended me to just to leave it as it is if it won't get worse and look after the oil level. It's fine for me but still a bit annoying. Any clues apart just leave it as it is?...

Hello, I was doing some maintenance on my ttr, when I noticed the back wheel has a lot of drag .I can spin it by hand but as soon as I stop spinning the wheel stops. Any thoughts? Thanks
as the title suggests, I was leading a ride & as I opened the gate & waved the guys through, I passed a KTM690, couple of DR650's, Husky 650, XT250, my TTR was still on standard Dunlop dual sport tyres, just think how quick it would have been if on D606 or MT21's [video=https://www.youtube.com/...
Hi Guys, I thought i had my idle screw set right. When cold, fires up straight away, ocasonially use choke for a couple seconds. Idles fine, sounds fine not revving hard. Noticed tonight when i went for a ride, that coming into intersections/round abouts. Anytime i pulled the clutch in it seemed to be o...
Hi. I've picked up 2x ttr's one is an OE and the other a raid. I will be building one choosing the best bits of both. But what I want to do is fit the blue model tank seat and side panels. The only real reason is that I like the look better and prefer a plastic tank. Now I believe all the frames are fundamentaly t...

Afternoon all, After initially attempting to replace what I thought was a leaking head gasket (turned out to be the decompressor plug) I now have the top end of my TTRs engine off and sat on the bench, to be honest the whole engine is sat on the bench after I thought it would be easier to give it a spruce up a...
