First real outing for restored OE TTR 250
Permalink

Today the sun made it's first appearance for weeks in Christchurch New Zealand. My newly road registered OE was calling to me, and I heeded the call. I headed over to the local trails which run alongside a large braided river and I was in for a treat.

I had the place to myself and the TTR just tore it up. Mud, sand, loose rock, gravel were all handled with ease by the plush suspension. Even did a few (small) jumps. The bike has plenty of poke (14/52 gearing, modded exhaust, re-jetted + shorty pipe) and at no point in time did I wish for more bike. A few hours later and I'm still feeling the adrenaline rush from all the pure fun.

Here's a photo to mark the occasion. The mountains in the background are the "Southern Alps".

PS.I've been watching a few youtube videos about riding position and it's amazing how much of a difference this stuff makes.

If you feel like heading out some time let me know. It's just 15 mins down the road for me.
