Hi all. Hope you're having a good day. I'm hunting for a ttr, found one in Cornwall, the Open Enduro, but it's problematic. Talked to the guy on the phone, sounded reasonable and no bull****, he said it's hard to downshift. Shifts up well. He thought it's a clutch, replaced, but problem persists. I'...
Afternoon all, I ordered some E-07 tyres which i thought would be a good idea for pottering around the roads getting used to the (new to me) TTR and doing some gravel roads and the like as an intro to off road. Of course like a muppet I've missed, the now obvious, 'TL' in the tyre code. So the question is wi...
Well as I have posted on a previous topic I was going to fit dual sport / adventure tyres on the TTR, will keep MT21's on the WRR for the rough tracks, going to keep the TTR for dirt /gravel roads. Had a delivery from postman Pat today, so on a 39-40c day I changed both tyres, not sure about the front but I guess...
Just a heads up for anyone looking for one. There's a tidy looking TTR listed on eBay that has helped me to find where to get some paint for mine. Cheers, Murray.
Hi, I have just purchased VX 55 FZU. Do any of you know any history? The bike appears to have been in the Coventry area most of its life. I live in Stockport but the bike is currently near Keighley having a bit of work done. Due to some unforeseen circumstances I do not have anywhere to keep the bike for the ne...
As the title suggests, had stuff on in the afternoon so had to be a quick ride, it had been raining all night & was pretty damp another reason to take the WR with fresh MT21's. Left my place after a coffee 7kms on the blacktop to the dirt, the grip was pretty good & no one else out there but it was prett...
Hi all, as the topic says, this is my first offroad bike, '94 Raid. I currently run a 1998 Vtr100O Firestorm that I bought brand new so this year's it's 22nd birthday I'm up in Leeds and looking forward to getting out and about and learning about this bike 😊😊
Hi all riders and wannabees. My name is Pijus, I'm from Lithuania, living in England. I'm a wannabee as I don't have a ttr yet but actively looking to buy. I'm specifically interested in RAID version as I want to do some traveling. I've have owned few bikes before - DT125, Cg125, Cb500, Tdm850, but n...
Hi everyone, picking up a 2004 ttr tomorrow from Cornwall, looking forward to the ride back. Had a ttr a few years back, and as getting older thought I’d get something a bit smaller and enjoy the views riding around. Cheers Kevin
Google translator Friends. I have MH 4T 125 Motorhispania at home. Yamaha XT 125 engine. I started to unscrew it to clean the carburetor. After removing the tank, I see that instead of a tap there is something (what is it ??? on the photo at the top metal round) with 2 rubber tubes and 1 wire. The hose is fo...
My rebuilds often advance at a snail's pace so that much of the oil I use on assembly has probably long gone by the time I get to run the engine. I belong to a few classic bike FB groups and there were a lot of experienced guys recommending Graphogen. Not cheap at £27 but its a big tube - 125g - and will probably...
Due to a lack of use (sorry - bought a KTM 400exc) I'm selling my 2004 TTR250.I purchased the bike in August 2011 (5 previous owners).Just over 12,000 miles, good condition, recent oil change, good tyres and chain, lowering link fitted (have original), sump guard, owners manual, some spares (CRD sil...
My earlier bikes were: 1. Honda XR 250 1997 and 1998. They were reliable, pretty light, bulletproof. But had one minus - kick starter (that was pain in the ass when doing enduro riding), no electric starter. 2. Bought KLX 250s 2010. This one had injection and electric starter, was heavier than XR, had n...
What is the highest you have seen on a straight engine? I bumped into a fellow TTR rider at the weekend and he had 40k on his one. Although he told me it had 4 owners so someone may have done some engine work in it I guess...
Hi all, My bike starts okay however my cams are both slightly off level when tdc (single mark). I have recently replaced the cam chain (2000 miles Max) so wasn't too worried. Having rebuilt the bike to a 350 and using a air fuel ratio gauge I'm trying to ensure it's running nice however I'm having a bit o...
I've been having some trouble with my bike bogging down and cutting out when I apply the throttle. After a few chats and looking around I decided that it would be best to clean the carb. There was some build up and so I cleaned it no bother and put it all back together and slapped it on the big. When we went...
Hi, my Australian 2006 ttr250 has recently developed an oil leak which seems to be coming from underneath the starter motor. I have done some reading on the forum and understand that it could be a cracked generator cover case caused by the sprang clutch making a clack noise on shutdown and sending a sho...

Now that my TTR has got panniers to do shopping and we have been allowed out on our bikes now, thought I would blow the dust of the WRF and take her for a spin around my local lanes We both needed it!
Hi Guys, I have been buying the rear shock seal(seal head) and repairing the shock for 3 times now, but it ends up leaking. What could be causing the seal to get worn out fast? runs for like 3 months then starts leaking again. Can I use honda xlr 250 Rear Mono shock instead? Repairing the shock every three m...
Hi All, It has been a while since I last posted but I thought I would get back on the 'horse' - power that is. I have recently had to spend a lot of time getting my old TTR running again because of old fuel and a battery that is also getting old. Normally when I know it is going to be a while before I can get back o...
Back when we had no water and fires I said I'd never complain about rain again. The rain hasn't stopped for ages it's all green and can't see where the fires have been. Still enjoying the rain not sure about the mud Finding the metzler 360 on the back is still wearing well . I have said its slippery I'm th...
I have a 2006 TTR 250 that sat for a few years. After it was taken out of storage, the carb was soaked and rebuilt (All balls kit), fuel lines replaced, inline fuel filter replaced, etc. The pilot jet continually plugs up. I've had the carb off countless times (I've actually gotten pretty good at it)....
Hi, does anybody know where I can get the just the pet**** filters from? They‘ve all but disintegrated on my new project. They’re not listed as being able to purchase separately - I‘m going to install an in-line filter in the fuel pipe but as I’ve got the fuel tap off to clean the tank out thought I may as we...
