Quick solo ride on the WR250R

As the title suggests, had stuff on in the afternoon so had to be a quick ride, it had been raining all night & was pretty damp another reason to take the WR with fresh MT21's.

Left my place after a coffee 7kms on the blacktop to the dirt, the grip was pretty good & no one else out there but it was pretty cold.

One more section of blacktop 4kms & dirt to Mt Pleasant. Stopped at the bakery ( have not been to a bakery for months due to CV19)

Quick bike to eat, run into a couple of mates & a catch up chat then ride home, just over 100kms, some rain plenty of mist along the top of the ranges on the way out but had cleared up by the time I came back.

Got out today had monday off work also gave the ttr a rest and took the Dr out

Set the Dr up  much like the ttr after a mate rode  bikes last weekend . The tracks and roads are disappearing in a carpet of green after the fires where it got really hot it's still looking tired everywhere else it's grown back OK

The TTR has an advantage in slower hilly stuff & the WRR is better in the faster dirt roads & summer tracks, glad I have both

I had planned a ride today too, (with my son biggrin ), but we took a rain check (literally). We woke up and the weather was foul. Now will be out Wednesday for a forest ride.

I'm also lucky to be spoilt for choice of rides too, TTR or Wr250F.  TT350 is still getting some finishing. Lots of red clay out this way so slippery as, the bike with best tyres will get a run, although it is the TTR's turn, Wr had a run last time.

My riding is similar to yours Les, east coast forests but mosty ride the tight singles.   I have a 3 hour loop where its lucky to get out of 1st and 2nd gear.  TTR250 shines in this especially with cut down bars its fits between the trees better.

Good selection of bikes, always liked the TT350 & even tried to find a XL350 at one stage
