I've been having some trouble with my bike bogging down and cutting out when I apply the throttle.  After a few chats and looking around I decided that it would be best to clean the carb.  There was some build up and so I cleaned it no bother and put it all back together and slapped it on the big.  When we went to give it a test however gas began to pour out of it.  Not from the drain but from the riders right hand side near the bottom of the bowl.  We can't figure out why or how to make it stop. There doesn't seem to be a good reason and can't seem to find any answers anywhere. Does anyone know what this is about or experienced it? What should i do? Where could i look for answers?

Is there a screw on the other side .it might be the drain screw is loose.

Hi Jordan and welcome to the forum!

That is the overflow and the leak is probably caused by the float being stuck down and not shutting the float needle.

There is a drain screw on the other side but it drains straight out of the bottom. This hole is perpendicular to that screw.

Thank you for the reply.  Do you know the best method for fixing that? I assume take it out and open it up again and give it another good cleaning.

A stuck float can sometimes be freed off by tapping the float bowl quite hard with the hard plastic or woode end of a screwdriver or similar. 

If that doesn't work then you probably have to remove it and strip it down to check what's going on.

Yeah, give it a good tap, screwdriver handle or similar. Mine did that first time i put it back after cleaning.
