Hi guys,Wanting to lower a bit (bike a tad to tall, or ok rider too short) and looks like the 2" lowering link and a seat shave might be the solution. Had a look but can't see a pictorial guide or youtube video for a TTR250, can anyone point me in the direction of one?Cheers,

Hi one and all, new to this forum but used to follow the yahoo group. Had my 2004 TTR for a couple of years but not really used it due to my paid hobby as a continental coach driver! Now retired and moved to the Midlands so hope to sort the carb and get it ready for some green laning both here and in France where w...
Hi, Guys, I picked my first TTR up at the weekend, I purchased the one Ttr Paul had for sale, Great bike and Im looking forward to hours of fun on the local green lanes.
I had some down time this spring and spent way to much time in front of a screen. But I found an awesome product for customizing toys! Perfomix makes a product in the states that is called plasti-dip. In stores you can buy red, clear, and black. Its the same stuff on the end of a pair of pliers, in an aero...

I recently got a ttr250 from a friend that has been sitting, i replaced the diaphragm, the two orings next to it, the seal for the float bowl, cleaned the jets, cleaned the little hole from the diaphragm into the float bowl, cleaned the routes to the side cover and the jet into the carb from ther...
Hi to all forum members. My brother and I each bought 2010 model TTRs and shipped them to the Philippines (where he lives) Since 2003 we have been touring the Philippines by motorcycle for a month each year, usually doing around 3,000km each time. We had been riding locally-bought Yamaha XT Serows (...

A question for the Brits on the forum.. I recently bought some shorty levers from the US. They were stopped by Customs- no duty had been paid. The Post Office left me a card asking me to pay £5 of duty & £8 for additional handling, almost the cost of the levers. I'd like to buy some Tuggers, from the US (i...
Has anybody had a standard TTR250 on a dyno? I read differing power output claims from various sources. As well, some of the "uncorking" information is just rubbish.
Anyone got one for sale? Would prefer a raid due to the extra size fuel tank and seat (occasionally will have to carry the gf on the back) and these seem more practical. Either that, or don't mind an OE if I can find a raid tank and seat Cheers Mike
Hi, I have been hanging onto this exhaust since new but I don't think I will ever put it back on. I have an aftermarket street legal exhaust that has been on the bike since it was near new. After about two hours riding waiting for the new exhaust to arrive I took this one off and put in a box and it has not been t...
I took my bike out to warwick and had some fun on trails and state forest fire trails and on the dirt roads I found my bike cutting out at 90kmh dead on and gaining power again at 85 dead on without fail I was wondering if anyone has any ideas Its a 2005 4gy Its really weird but it revs fine in all gears then at 90...
As in the title. The standard handlebar mounts have an offset which by default sets the bars back around 5-10mm towards the rider. I've fitted some risers which also moves the bars are closer still to the rider. Can I reverse the bar mounts to move the bars forwards a smidgen Or is there a reason they're s...
Hi Guys, While the front wheel was off on my 99 model TTR250 (getting a new tire) I removed the white plastic wind/hand guards then fitted a new brake lever and a set of 2nd hand set of bark busters which involved some "persuading" with a rubber mallet as one of the ends that goes inside...
A change of plans sees me starting from the west of Exeter at 10am for a 50 mile trail ride in some lovely South Devon countryside with pasties and clotted cream ice cream at Dawlish. 4 TTRs on the ride so far - any other TTR riders available? If so, please email me for the start location. Brian -- Edited b...
Hello After months of searching for a good used one I have now just purchase a brand new TTR (first new two wheel motorbike ever owned). The price reduction was just too good to pass up and I got the last bike at local dealer. Yet to do any mods and only done about 140km so far.
A friend and I were able to camp for three days at a U.S. Forest Service Campground that is surrounded by perhaps 1,000 miles or more of logging roads and trails. I thoroughly enjoyed our time riding around. I thought that some of you might enjoy seeing some pictures of the area. For those (few) of you...
My bike was running rough and lacked power so it was time to sort it. When I bought the bike it always felt like it was not running properly although Ive not had it long. In the low gears it would pull ok but not correctly, and when in mid revs would surge and lack any constant power delivery. Top didn’t rea...

The Euro's convert to US dollar (obviously) but not sure about the rest. Also he is wondering if he can pay totallyttr's with a US credit card? Your help would...
