speedo sensor problem

hi guys,

my '94 ttr has a sensor problem so i decided to fix it after 6months without any signal..

i wander if any hall sensor (that i could fit in any way) coul do the job.

Because i live in greece and i found sensors(very similar to the ttr's) with 18 euros which is quite affordable...

I would also like to change the headlight with something more baja style(perhaps the raid's headlight or xr 250 baja) but i don't want to change anything in the cdi (extra cables due to higher voltage etc i'm not really aware of electical issues...is that possible or not??

if not , how complicated can it be??

thanks for your time

Stu, I must admit that my TTR has a cable driven speedo and, therefore, I know precious little on your type. confuse

However, the magnet drive for TTRs is available CLICK HERE for details.

Another alternative is to go to a cycle shop and buy a cycle computer, like:-

Headlight upgrades can also be obtained HERE and other suppliers can be found via Google  aww

As to complexity, I'm unable to comment but presumably basic instructions will be included in the kit. smile

Thanks martyn,
i've already installed my old cycle computer but i want something more permanent(i have to take this off every time i leave the bike so it won't be stolen!!)

i know the ttr cable sensor is available but i would like to go for something cheaper as i have to change some other stuff too(lights, electric ignition broken etc).
that's why i'm trying to find a more universal-type sensor which will be much easier to find in greece too..
