Just wondering if it's possible to use the gauges from an XT350 (speedo at least). I know you guys can use xt225 gauges, but how do you hook up a speedo cable to the front hub if your blue model only has the Yamaha odometer? Just saying cause I got to ride a 1990 xt350 and I liked it. Thanks! -- Edited by yamaha...
Hi All Firstly, although this isn't a ttr related problem, I'm hoping an electrical wizard will be able to help me figure out where I am going wrong! My DR350 got stolen a few weeks back. By some miracle the police managed to recover it after seeing some kids wheeling it about outside a travellers site....
Has there ever been any comment on the 280 kit's performance? I found the bit in Brian's thread about the OE's resto but then the trail runs cold? I'd like to know what's involved-cost & time and the results Anyone know? Mark
I have sourced a few pairs of new original Yamaha TTR250 mirrors. These have the correct left and right hand threads to fit into the existing sockets on your clutch and brake perches. They will also fit WRFs and WR250R/Xs It's a personal choice as to whether to to run mirrors but I like to keep an eye on who...
Hey guys, The majority of riding I do is real tight steep 1st gear mountain trails, I find I am needing more revs than are practical at these slow speeds and thinking about changing my sprocket to give me more revs/grunt down low. I have standard 14 and 44 tooth setup at the moment and my question is i...

These discs aren't wearing as well off tarmac as the other discs we sell. We have just two left in stock after which we won't be stocking them again as most of our customers use their TTR off tarmac at some point. They are on offer at a bargain price of £42 plus p&p See here Email sales@totallyttrs.co...

Time for me to ask the dumb question, I brought a FMF Q4 silencer (not sure why now) it was a bit noisy but I fitted a piece of perforated stainless pipe with a blanked off end inside the back of the silencer and it works fine but I suspect I need to change the carb settings (although the bike runs ok). Any ide...

I went to adjust my needle and I realized the washer with the locking tab that sits below the needle clip is missing Is this a universal part? It must be a specific thickness because it holds up the needle im guessing. In THIS diagram, it's the part just below the needle in section 6. It is sitting right...
Hello all, I have begun my Rallye build for the Australian 2012 APC Rally . Ill be using my wifes 1999 TTR 250 for my build along with a rolling 2000 TTR 250 that I have recently acquired. The APC rally runs for 14 days covering a distance of 7100km. Navigation is via GPS. All riders have to ca...
Carb sat with fuel in it for about a year. Of course the gas went bad and gummed it up. I tore it apart and cleaned it. First start it ran extremely lean. Bike had no power and would cut out above quarter throttle. Tore it down again and did a better job of cleaning it. Jets appear to be clear. Put it back togeth...

Hi. The previous owner of my bike had the tank re-sprayed to a good standard, however he tried to apply the 'standard' TTR stickers to each side and it didn't go so well! They are also now peeling at the front as well and would like to replace them. I like the 'retro' 80's colours and would like to stick w...

This is, hopefully, going to be a simple restoration of a 2006 TTR to as near new standard condition as I sensibly can. The before pics look better than the the bike originally was when I bought it as I forgot to take pics before power washing it, fitting a legal exhaust, side panels, plus fitting a headli...
Trimmed the airbox snorkel inlet. As anticipated, the fuel screw was turned out to compensate (out about 3.75 turns now). The a$$ dyno feels a slightly stronger pull on bottom, but sort of falls off up top. Any Comments or concerns? I'm running an UNI air filter with a Mikuni vm28/486 42.5 pilot and a n1...

I have a TTR & XT660R both running on 520 chain, as I use the XTR off road I use x3 front sprockets 13,14,15. Hello, My 2004 ttr has developed a rattle. Its actually more of a jingle that happens when the engine is not under load. I wondered if it could be the clutch plates having worn tabs but any thoughts would be welcome before dismantling anything. Thanks Alex
Take advantage of another one of my mis-orders - this time for genuine Yamaha LH (disc side) wheel spacers.I meant to have ordered the plain "collars" for the RH side on the white TTRs but bought RH ones by mistake If your existing spacer is grooved where the oil seal fits then it will allow d...

Had a nice ride around the lake district yesterday, three TTR's, Freeride, new Honda and a TLR200. We had to get the ferry accross Windermere at one point, the other picture is of Hodge close a deep gorge above Coniston. We did 100 miles in quite hot weather and were expertly led by Cumbria TRF rights o...
