Does anyone have this problem. Ive removed my tank 3 times in the last 3 months. Everytime its a "Drama " to remove the fuel line either off the tank or the carby. I tried abit of grease on the carby end which didnt help.
Yeah, mine is a little hard to remove. I use a little rubber grease on them before fitting, when removing use a pair of small pliers or a flathead screwdriver to pry it off (being careful not to scratch the fuel pipe) . Using this method, it is not a problem for me and I remove the tank quite frequently to clean underneath.
I do not have issues with the standard wire clips these days. I used to think that they would not clasp the line tight enough. Over time, I have come to trust the wire clips and think they are great as they are easily removed and can be removed by hand. It also takes away the temptation to over-tighten the clamp. Of course, it's up to you what type you choose to like or dislike.
