Thought I'd post about drowning my bike a few months ago. These bikes must be tough. Dropped my bike in a massive mud hole, got the front and rear wheels in different ruts and over we went. I'm the kind of person that takes all the tools/spares on a ride and am fairly fussy with my bike maintenance. I am usu...
All photos that i have posted have been done on an iphone5. Im starting to think its the data size. Any photo under 1Mb seem to be the right way up. Before it allows me to post a photo it tells me the data size...... Say 875 KB (post that size its good). Post photo say size 2MB. And sideways it goes.
This TTR i got with a blown motor and no history with the bike. All i know it was sitting in a workshop for ten years after he smashed the piston. The fuel tank came with the petc--k removed. Tank has a strong wierd smell. Like oil/diesel / plastic. This oil looking stuff is leaking after tank was sitting in...
Hi all, My recent trip to Albania made obvious to me the necessity of having a kickstarter for doing serious stuff. Anyone has a full kit and is willing to ship it to Poland, at reasonable price? My wife's brother lives in Portsmouth and visits Poland from time to time, so shipping to him is an option too....

So, shortly after resolving my engine ping/knock sound by replacing the carbuerator joint, me and my brother on an identical 2000 TTR-250 went on a 3 day trail with a couple trucks called the Dusy Ershim in Northern California. Exactly half way through the trail with about 15 miles to civilization...
Hello, Do you have any trouble with the split link on the bikes? I was surprised to see one mine. Cheers Bill -- Edited by masterbill on Sunday 11th of October 2015 04:51:55 PM
Hi everyone, I just bought a TTR 250 and I need to lower it. I am going to fit a kouba link (and scoop out the seat). I am wondering if the bike would handle best if I also fit handlebar risers, so that I can lower further the front forks? I have been lowering many bikes over the years (starting with my 2 Versy...
Regular forum readers will know of Robin Webb of Salt & Gold video fame. Anyways up, Robin has recently had his wheels rebuilt to take wider tyres and also rebuilt the seat himself to better suit his needs ahead of shipping it out to the USA for his next desert/mountain adventure in a few weeks time....
I bought some Aprilia RS125 three spoke wheels, because they're cheap and I'm poor at the minute, to fit to my TTR. I guessed from experience (having fitted the later Y-spoke wheels to a WR200) that the hubs would be skinny enough to fit in the TTR forks and swingarm and I was right- phew! You will also be a...
Looking for changed the steel Raid swingarm for a lighter alloy one. Anyone got one tucked away? Also need the longer axle bolt to go with it.. Regards, Malcolm.
Catch the Norwalk Virus (or Norovirus). I have lost over half a stone in the last couple of days. The downside is the projectile vomiting, pooing water with very little control over when and where, belching sulphur fumes and generally feeling rubbish Hope it goes away soon!!!!! Brian
I got my 2003 TTR250 last year for riding the trails near my cottage at Paudash Lake near Bancroft Ontario Canada. It is completely stock except for the Moose Racing skid plate and a small tie down rack for a tool kit. I like the stock 13/52 gearing and can't imagine going with a higher ratio like you guy...
Just not to be out done, here are a few he's not used (yet).... Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy. Just heard there was an explosion at a pie factory in Cornwall. 3.1415927 reported dead I was walking in a cemetery this morning and saw a bloke hiding behind a gravestone. "Morning.&qu...
