After fighting the carb and a high-idle issue, I finally got the bike up and running... for a short time, anyway. It's back to fighting me on the idle so it's parked for the summer until I can get it apart and thoroughly sorted. Looking at my engine to try to ID where the various oil seepages are coming fro...
Hi all, Ibe been slowly breathing life back into the raid I bought a few months back and am nearly ready for MOT time. I set about cleaning up and refitting all the plastics the other day and realised I don’t have the support that goes over the seat which the top mount of the rear side panels fixes on to. I’v...
Okay so just before Christmas I bought this important raid from DK. After a bit of faff getting it registered, partly because I needed to ride it for its test and guess what? It didn't run properly. After much fannying about with the carb, I was about to take it down the garage this afternoon when I though...
I have a number of fork yokes that have come off TTRs that I have broken for spares amongst which are some where the mudguard bolt has seized into the bottom yoke and sheared off when trying to undo it. With such a small (M6 I think) bolt in an aluminium surround, it is a nightmare to drill and "Easyout" I o...

Came with Acerbis long range tank, and original tank in mint condition.Has some nice bits on( fmf exhaust/ tottaly ttrs bash plate/ B&B off road rear rack etc). Lots of service history with it, which is u...
Has anyone shoe-horned a non-typical powerplant into the TTR frame? Dropped a TTR engine in something non-trailbike? Anything bizarre out there? Just curious. TYIA!
We are currently in North Brazil and oil consumption has just shot up dramatically. my ttr350 only visually smokes under faster acceleration for an overtake but is burning so much oil now! I did about 250 miles yesterday at 50mph and burn't around 600ml 😵💫 Starts incredibly easily but the Kickstar...
Acerbis 22L tank for sale complete with fitting kit and fuel pipe etc. This was bought 2 months ago & only used once on a 600 mile trip, so is as new.Comes with receipt from tottally ttrs. The forum seems to replicate owners problems on my own bikes somehow This time the problem was a rounded out drain screw on a carb. I drilled out the damaged screw with a 3mm drill and then extracted it with a 3.5mm extractor. The new drain screw is part number 14T-14104-00 - available here Job done! B...
These racks are no longer being manufactured and don't come up for sale very often. Steve has just got a second-hand one back in stock! Strong as heck - see here
I thought I had an oil leak from the starter gear cover but was wrong. It only leaks when I'm riding. Where would you recommend looking next? Replacing the generator cover gasket?
Hi all! I’ve recently purchased a 1994 raid that needs nurturing back to life after sitting around for a number of years. I’m pretty impressed so far to be honest, it runs and despite sitting around it’s not particularly rusty. So far I’ve overhauled the brakes ( the fluid in the front master cylinde...
Could someone do me a big favour please? I'm in a world of pain with replacement stators and 'no spark' issues.Pop your plug cap off, or have some other way to stop the bike starting.Disconnect the three-wire connector under the RHS of the tank. The wires come from the stator and are white.Set your mult...
Not sure I would use "The Ultimate" in describing this custom TTR but it looks fun even though its not my cup of tea. I think a rider would get a headache from that exhaust not long into a ride Interesting about the after-market steel tank. Not something I have seen advertised in the UK. Anyone in the US ha...
Just thought I'd show my new bike for my Southern Africa adventures! It's a blue ttr, not sure the year. It has a 22 liter tank and a kick starter!! Yay. I'm off to Namibia from Cape Town in a few days. Michael
I am replacing my fork seals on a 2006 blue tank TTR The bottom 14mm alan bolt was very tight, i have loosened it but it just keeps turning and don't screw out. the forks are all apart but unable to remove the damper rod or inner tube. should the 14mm hex bolt come out,
From the advert: "Rare Zip cart fitted with a four stroke FK/ TTR Yamaha engine & fully automatic gearbox, front & rear brakes, Nitrous kit also fitted but not tried!!" See here for full advert and photos. Anyone know any more? Automatic gearbox on a TTR250?? Sadly the photos which include t...

I am after anything really - doesn't matter if you have a carb with the float posts broken, jets or nozzles sheared off, choke stuck, bits missing, or it's in a hundred pieces I am repairing some carbs at the moment and it's not economical to buy new parts to replace those missing At the moment, I partic...
