Fancy fitting some Wavy discs to my TTR, but when asking about I have had a mixed response to the idea in general. Just wondered if owners who have fitted Wavy discs have found an improvement, and under what conditions? One silly question - brake grease - where do you put it and more important where don't...

Just wondering if it's possible to use the gauges from an XT350 (speedo at least). I know you guys can use xt225 gauges, but how do you hook up a speedo cable to the front hub if your blue model only has the Yamaha odometer? Just saying cause I got to ride a 1990 xt350 and I liked it. Thanks! -- Edited by yamaha...

Has there ever been any comment on the 280 kit's performance? I found the bit in Brian's thread about the OE's resto but then the trail runs cold? I'd like to know what's involved-cost & time and the results Anyone know? Mark

Trimmed the airbox snorkel inlet. As anticipated, the fuel screw was turned out to compensate (out about 3.75 turns now). The a$$ dyno feels a slightly stronger pull on bottom, but sort of falls off up top. Any Comments or concerns? I'm running an UNI air filter with a Mikuni vm28/486 42.5 pilot and a n1...

I am looking at a 99 ttr250 for my father to ride. He likes the way it feels but the bike looks terribly outdated especially when next to a newer wr/yz. My question is when i look at the new ttr230 they have a sleeker tank, shrouds, seat, tail fender and number plaques. Has anybody tried fitting the plastic...

I have been in email conversation with Peter Gray of Wilderness Wheels Morocco. They run a small fleet of blue TTRs alongside their KTM 450 EXCs. Peter says they find the TTR to be a totally competent off road bike in Morocco and is his preference over the KTMs for a ride over the mountains. He has passe...

Brian, I think this is a nice idea for a new category here. Maybe some links could be added to some of the "modifcation" content hidden away in other threads? I am a habitual tinker-er & have been wondering about all kinds of add-ons, upgrades, swaps, etc.

An interesting thread here - scroll down the page a bit. Bad news is that you lose steering lock and some welding is required Brian
