Following on from the Wanted – Shorty levers ://ttr250.activeboard.com/t45326698/shorty-levers/ I have obtained a pair of DRC shorty levers and they are exactly what I was hoping for.
When I bought my bike it had the Acerbis hand guards with aluminium bars fitted and the brake and clutch levers had been cut short, presumably to make them fit inside the hand guards. With no bobbles on their ends I was concerned that my muddy gloves might slip off them. So I ordered a pair of slightly shorter than standard levers from TotallyTTRs, but they wouldn't fit inside the hand-guards without moving their perches away from the ends of the handlebars, which I wasn't very happy with.
I found the DRC shorty levers on the internet but couldn't find a UK supplier for the short type. An American company Powersportjunkie.com had them but shipping was going to be too much to the UK. Then I remembered that I had a friend over there who would be returning to the UK in a few weeks and he kindly got them for me.
DRC part numbers are:
Brake Lever Short: D40-13-606
Clutch Lever Short: D40-03-706
They fitted the original perches fine and allowed me to return the perches to their original positions. I have yet to ride the bike with them fitted, but I like the even shorter levers on my Serow, so expect to get on fine with them.
While I was at it I also replaced the worn original pivot bolts, fitting a shorter one on the clutch side (Yamaha part # 90109-06799-00) as the original hand guards are no longer fitted, and fitted gaiters (boots) between the levers and their perches to protect the clutch cable and front brake master cylinder piston from mud and water like the original hand guards originally did.

The shorter clutch lever pivot bolt is required for the gaiter to fit properly.
Attached should be some photos (sorry for the poor quality) comparing length of DRC and TotallyTTRslevers (Remember that TotallyTTRs are shorter than original), the lever gaiters and all these parts fitted.
