For some reason mines got burnt holes in it and is rather scruffy looking. Does anyone have a white rear mudguard in good condition? To fit a Raid but I think both OE and Raid are the same. Regards,Moo.

So I went to change my oil today and when I went to drain my oil and there was only a few drops of oil That came out. Filled it up and cranked it up and it is running good no unusual noises. I rode it around and it ran fine. Pulled back to the house and it was squirting oil from the base of the cylinder. Found a kit to...

My friend Bob and I paid Steve a visit this morning - both a social plus putting our heads together to check out a possible theory that might be causing some owners problems with their sprags. We wanted to check on an installed sprag so Steve decided to have a look at the one on the TTR he is breaking for spar...
TT250 Raid 21K Miles...No carb overhaul Beautiful bike- pulls, rides as should etc Cuts out when on tickover occasionally. I've adjusted air and tickover...I suspect it's idle/Pilot jet... I HAVE NOT CHECKED AIR FILTER...not done a proper service yet...that will come are my suspicions correct?...

Hi Brian! Its me, Robin. Remember? the one who bought a whole bike from you, one nut and bolt at a time. Hope you are enjoying 'retirement'. I have a question but don't often use the forum so maybe its already been answered... It's this: When turning off my 315cc bike I often get a loud clunk. Not every ti...
Hey dudes (and dudettes) Just joined the forum. Hoping to spend some time here learning about TTR's and getting mine running good. I'm from Oklahoma (US) and ride an '05 TTR 250. I love it, other than it not running right every since I bought it. Lol. David
My name is ROG and I live dnunder, Newcastle NSW. I have recently acquired a 2002 ttr250 with 6500 kms on the clock. this brings the obsession to 4. An R1200gs, a F650gs and a Maxsym 400. Mid August last I started having funny turns. In 1973 I was diagnosed as suffering from Type 1 Diabetes - an afliction I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It turned out that my immune system had been secretly destroying all the islets of langerhans within my pancreas. These islets are vital to normal liv...

Hi You Knowledgeable Lot! I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what the name of the seal in this picture is? Then I'll ask Brian if he has it in stock :) It looks easy enough to replace once I get the tank off; am I wrong? I think this has occurred because I feed my 19mm chain between the engine and the frame (sma...
For the best part of a year now my bike has been vibrating a hell of a lot, jerking into first, and jerking when going down gears and just being extremely rough. It was extremely disappointing and for the life of me i could not fix the problem. I changed the sprockets, chain, went over the bugger so many tim...

Just bought '55 plate (pics in new joiners) and I noticed the h/l bulb was gone when I picked it up so the garage fitted a new one. Now I notice that has gone already, after just ~100 miles. Any faults I should look for or are they a bit prone to going? All other electrics work fine. Thanks
Just joined as bought myself a 1997 TTR250 as wanting to start and have a go at some green lane riding. Only a short arse so will be looking for a spare seat to thin out padding of seat.
Had a bit of luck today at Kempton park autojumble. I found an nos original L/H Yamaha mirror for my TTR oe Project. The real lucky part was that it was on my own stall. Will look again tomorrow at Ardingley autojuble for the otherside

No such luck retiring then Bri has started a thread about checking you swing arms http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t...
I had a bit of a sort out of my stock of used swingarms yesterday and it is probably worth posting another bit of strong advice to save owners money and time down the line. Check your chain slider - green plastic part that fits over the end of the swingarm near the front sprocket. It wears underneath so migh...
