Wasn't getting any gas in my carb so I inspected the fuel line to find a piece of plastic in there Is there some plastic that's supposed to be in the fuel line to slow it's drip or is this just some random plastic that got pushed in there? Thanks
Hey Guys. I have been having a whole plethora of issues with my bike, but knocking them out one step of a time. Most recent, I replaced the float, and float Needle valve assembly, since the carb was overflowing fuel when I would turn the fuel on. That issue is solved now. But now my issue is that the bike wi...
I have a 2000 TTR250 that was basically a basket case when I got it, mechanic is working on reassembling it and realised the cam caps are broken and the heads' alignment dowl is missing. Can I buy replacement caps for it? Will there be a tolerance concern with different caps than the originals? Can I p...
Hi All, Just bought a 1999 blue TTR. I know its history but it does have 39000kms up and will need a bit of work from time to time which I intend to do myself. This is my first Yammy - previously had a Honda CB450, Honda 250 trail (which got burnt in a bushfire back in 2003), KLX250R; and now a Suzuki DR650. Wi...

Where I live at the moment I have no room for a trailer & the car is not big enough for a bike rack across the back.. so I came up with ths thing... the bike is held in with 4 tie downs & 2 wheel straps... The pull is on the wheel as it fits down in the frame... [IMG]http://imageshack.us/a/img24/390/9...

I have run out of good s/h exhaust valves. I have half a dozen that are pitted to one degree or another that I am not prepared to use.New valves are relatively expensive which makes me wonder about re-facing the valves I have.It is possible to buy kits to do this on eBay but only for older "soft"...
See here An amazingly original bike - not what's expected of a bike that nearly 20 years old! Not mine and I have no connection with the seller - I just thought it was a lovely TTR and wanted to share Brian
I have a '04 TTR 250 and it seems to be screaming at 100kph? When I got it 18 months ago that wasn't the case. Dad has a '00 TTR 250 and it can sit on 100 fine? both bikes have the same sprocket sizes, and basic mods were done to them and I was just curious as to what you guys think the problem could be? This bike has...
My friend kindly made me a bash guard with some aluminium he had lying about (old road sign). I am rather impressed with the finished product. Just thought I would share and wondered it anyone else had made one?
I have recently rebuilt a standard 250 TTR engine and need to test it out. The only TTR left in my garage now is the 325 so my aim today was to whip out the 325 engine and replace it with the shiny "new" 250 rebuild. It was interesting that, despite torquing up the engine bolts when I fitted the 325 engine seve...
I have spent many an hour pondering the perfect bike for trail riding/green laning as we call it in the UK. Three years ago I fell in love with the new CCM GP450. Of course it was only a dream, but at £8000 ish, still cheaper and more attainable than Rachel Weisz, my other dream All the characteristics I th...

I've got a good handle on road tyres, from sports/touring through to sports and road-legal track day tyres but when it comes to off-road!!?? Mostly it seems when one dives in to a manufacturers web site off-road section you get straight to the hard-core MX and Enduro tyres that aren't really intende...
G'day, I have a 2010 (Australian) TTR250 that has about 600kms (370mls) on it. The bike has only been ridden very lightly and is almost as new. The bike started first go after a four month lay off but would bog down as soon as any throttle was applied. I suspected the fuel may have gone off so I drained th...
Bought my TTR a few months ago, which I love, and one of the things I really love is the fact that they're really quite rare and I'd probably never see another one.....or so I thought! I was out for a trundle a couple of Sundays ago, and I came to a T junction in Bishop's Waltham, in Hampshire. Imagine my surp...
